Grab a coffee and get comfy as seeing I missed my usual Sunday post last weekend this is a biggy.

I was away last weekend retreating and I had a ball. My partners in crime for the weekend, Jane, Christine and I all had a ball in our costume for the dress up night and we won a prize too. On the Thursday before we headed out we went over the Christine's place for a dress rehersal then on down to a park near her for a few pics.

Here is one of them that Asher just had to be in.and a one from Saturday night too.

Here is what I did while there bar one as it is for DT work.

A layout of Jane's grandson. lol Using some of the Wonderous world papers by Dasiy Bucket. That you can find in Therapy.

A layout of Asher having fun on an old tractor at a park we went to on Easter Sunday. Using some gorgeous Kaiser papers and some cork which was a product we needed to use as part of a challenge.

A layout of Asher at the aircraft museum last school holidays. One of the challenges we to do was this stripy paper they supplied on a layout.Several cards for the hero Arts colour challenge. All that mange to use as aprt of the challenge for extra tickets in the raffle, not that they did me any good.

Altered tin that I did up for Therapy. There is a link to the forum further on to where you can see Relsi's and PT's tins and would you believe it both PT and I started out making our tins to give to our little girls, changed our minds and kept them for ourselves as bling boxes.

When I got home I sorted out my stuff and Asher wanted to dress up in my costume so I let her do so on the condition that I could get some pics so we went outside and had a mini phoot shoot. lol if you call 40 odd pics mini. Here are two favs.

Even though she has her eyes closed on this I like the way the trampoline has caught her refelection and when the weather warms up I may even head out to the beach for some pics too.lol only a scrapper would do that.

Before I went away I needed to get my Shelf slice of life challenge layout done and this is what I did for last weeks and here is this weeks. Boy has that five weeks gone fast.

Class photo and pages too

Well I had fun today teaching my first face to face class. I was a bit nervous at first but that all went and the girls seemed to have fun too.

And here is the double layout I taught. My first for the year as I don't do many these days.

and seeing as I had some of the striped and giraffe papers left over I did a single sample in pink as well.

We were cyber cropping this weekend over at Therapy. Here is my sample page for the challenge I set.and if you pop on over to Therapy you will see that Lee anne's comp that I posted about in the last post has been carried over for the rest of the month. All the details can be found in here. Spread the word as the size of the pizza box on offer at the end of the month all depends on how many hits theTherapy home page gets.

I managed to do my round 3 slice of life challenge layout too. It wasn't what I was going to scrap as the pics I took of my kitchen bench in action didn't turn out all that well so I had to change my idea but just love the result. Oh and a big thanks to Camcas over at Therapy. You pizza box of goodies arrived a few days before and you can spot of few of the yummies on this page.

Pics and some scrapping too.
As promised here is one of the many pics Craig took of Asher went they went out to the aircraft museum last week. She had a ball and in a few of the other pics Craig took she was walking around with a clipboard getting some help from Craig doing a work sheet.and I couldn't help but take a pic of Reenie last night as Asher covered her up in an Aussie scraf while she was sleeping in her favorite sleeping spot near the heater. Asher was so cute while I was taking the pics she was singing she's an aussie sleepy cat.

What's been happening over at Therapy?

Well over the weekend we had a small cyber party for the crowning of the new MBM. Yeah Mandy. Congrats girl and welcome to the dt as a guest for the next few months. Congrats also to Carol and Deb who came in second and third and to all the girls who entered into the challenges. What's a party with out a few games hey. Well not games but just for fun challenges. Narelle and I set challenge for the girls over the weekend and PT ran a class too.

My challenge was to make a congrats card and I was a little sneeky and made up my sample to pop into the Hero Arts blog for the wrap around card challenge. I also took some pics along the way and put up a step post in the forum if you want to have a try at doing one yourself.

Here is the frontThe middle, the brad is attached to a tag for a messageand the backand if you feel like giving a free class a try check out PT's So you think you can drive class. I have some other goodies that I have done for therapy but alas I can't share just now as they are for some dt stuff next month. One of which is my cyber crop sample. Yeap it is that time again girls. Next week we will be cc. Clues will be going up tomorrow and Cate has already started her usual singing countdown. I guess it also means I'll have to russle up some goodies from my stash for a guessing game on Friday night then.

As most of you may know by now the very talented Belinda has stepped down from the dt and as she was running this years calendar class Nat has taken it over rather than let it fold so to speak. Here is my page from the class more pics from the aircraft museum trip.Lee ann has been busy with the shop and has got in some new stuff and a little birdie told me that some MME will be haeding our way soon too.

What's been happening at home?

Well I've been busying doing some non Therapy scrapping lol. Sounds funny saying that as scrapping is my Therapy.

Any I have done another layout for STM but can't show that just yet. I so can't wait to share with you all tomorrow my page for next weeks song as it is a fav of mine. I hope you can come along and play with me and thanks to those few who have.

Over at The scrapbook shelf Trudi posted the 2nd challenge forthe slice of life comp. To scrap a layout with a picture. lol If I had ESP I wouldn't of scrapped my angel a week or so ago but I managed to pull it of with a layout on how fussy Asger is getting with what she will wear. Boy it is a drama and it is getting to the point where I can't just buy her anything without her being there.

Trudi and the girls also had a FNF on as well. Boy was I busy on Friday night going between two parties so to speak. My fingers sure did get a work out. lol

The challenge for that was to get inspiration from an add anddo a 12 by 12 page. I worked on my page on Friday night in between chatting at both parties and had finished it but wasn't that happy with it. Rather than leave it as it was I decided to add some stamping to it and stuffed it up. So I ended up turning my 12 by 12 into a 6 by 12, mounting it onto another 12 by 12 base and then salvaging what I could from the bad 6 by 12 and adding it to the new 12. In the end I totally love how it has turned out.

For those of you that are locals here is a sneek peek at a layout that I will be teaching at Just scrapbooking next Sunday. It will be my first ever face to face class and I am so nervous about it. And missy Christine you had better be on your best behaviour or else. No heckling. lol You know I love you don't you.

I also had some good news durring the week. My beach layout I did for last week HA challenge got an honourable mention as I now have got another catolgue heading my way along with a new never been seen xmas stamp. Wahoo

Well I think I haven't forgotten anything and if I have well it probably wasn't important anyway.lol

What's been happening at home.

My entry for the latest Hero Arts blog challenge. The challenge was what summer means to you and to me summer is time at the beach.

Race track fun

Craig has made himself a race track

in our back yard. Yeap he is crazy but I kinda like it and Asher and her friend had fun running on it yesterday and were having running races on it until my little sore loser decided to throw a sad as she wasn't winning the races. He has since mowed the rest of the lawn but left it a bit higher so the track is still there.

What's been happening in Therapy this week

Well voting has started in round four of the Make believe masters. Pop in and vote for your favorite and check out the last challenge too.

The winners of the cyber crop from last weekend should be announced very soon as well as our cybercrop super star.

I ran a surprize challenge this weekend. To scrap a non people or non photo layout. I had fun doing up my sample for it. A page I had been planning on doing for a while now.

Lee anne has been sorting out a few things in the shop and moved around some of the stock so this month instead of having just the one Manufacturer of the month she is having an all other brands one.

This is a layout that I did up for Manufacturer of the month using some Sei papers.

What's happening over at STM

I'm loving the pages that have been coming in for this weeks Miss this challenge, which is what I did the page I used for the card inspiration challenge over at shelf and can't wait to share with you my page for the next challenge. Something different for me.

Mary was saying in the forum the other day that this challenge has broken the record for entries and blog visits too.

Just want to say a big thanks to everyone that has congratulated me on making the team, those that have popped in to check things out and done the challenge.

What has been happening at home.

Not alot actually. I did join in on the chat over at the CIS cybercrop but I haven't been all that motivated to scrap any of the challenges. I hope my scrap motivation returns though as the Slice of life competition is starting over at The scrapbook shelf tomorrow. I so can't wait to get home from work and to see what the first challenge wil be.

The hero challenge this week was a kids challenge. To have the kids creating using Hero Arts stamps. This is one of the three projects that Asher did.

Well it has been a scrappy few days here for me. Since Wednesday night I have done 2 singles, non of which I can share just yet, a double, my first for the year which I can't share, 2 cards and taken a heap of pics.

Here is a pic of my little swimmer with her level one certificate. It only took her two years to get it. Yeap my girl ain't going to be a thorpedo lolThese two pics I took of her this afternoon. We were having a pj day as is our normal thing on a Sunday lately. Anyway we picked up her dancing concert dvd from last year durring the week and she wanted to watch it. I went in there to check up on her after a while and she had on half her dancing queen costume over the top of her pj's and dressie.Here she is telling me I have to call her the Queen.lol She wishes. Those blue things she has hanging of her arms are legging type things that are meant to look like long boots.And this is her after she stood up and danced along to the video when she was on screen. Crazy but just got to love her.

We were cybercropping over at Therapy this weekend and it was my turn to set the sketch challenge.

I took Asher out for a photo shoot a few weeks back and got heaps of pics, some of which I have already scrapped, she wanted to take her plane that she made at school with her and as they were measuring just how far they could throw the planes in jumps at school that is what she did at the park.

The challenges don't need to be in till Monday midnight so there is still a bit of time to check out the challenges.

It was my turn to set the monthly challenge over at Therpay this month and I decided to set an OTP challenge. Here is what I came up with for my sample

It gave me a few dramas but love how it came out.

I used a mix of old and new MME papers that can be found in the Therapy shop which is going through a make over so pop on over and have a look see.

A close up of my quote. Those that know and love me know that it is so true. My house will be tidy and clean but it will never be imaculate.

Last week challenge over at the Hero Arts blog was to make interactive cards and this is what I have done.

If you pull the flower on the right hand side the butterfly flies across the page.

and when you untie the string the panel opens out to say from all of us with a few more birds stamped on a branch inside.

And I guess you all have been waiting for my news. Well there is two lots as of today anyway. If you check over to the right I have added something new to my links. Hope you all can pop in and play along with some of the challenges with me. I also went down to my LSS today and I will be teaching a class in the near future. No details planned as yet though but I'll let you all know where and when closer to the time.

Inchie fun and Asher news

Hi all out there in blogger land.

Not too much in the way of layouts that I can share tonight as they are for DT stuff over at Therapy. Will share next week after the CC. I do how ever have some cards that I have done up for the Hero Arts Blog challenge. This weeks challenge was an inchie one. To include an inch square piece of art on your layout, card or ATC. Here are four that I did. I loved doing them and will probablly do some more.

With these two above the green paper on the chipboard is the inchie and the one below it is the stamped white square.

I was going to do up a card for the card challenge over at the scrapbook shelf and seeing as I was having fun with my inchies I did up another one.

I can finally share my latest class project for Therapy too.

Thanks to the girls that joined in on Saturday night. I can't wait to see your boxes.

Has been a big week here at home with Asher having a pediatrian appointment. Asher's teacher had picked up a few issues at school that she felt needed seeing into and after the visit we have to go and have some tests done but it looks as though our girl may have a special personality. Nothing definate yet as the doc didn't want to say much with out all the test info but it looks as if she may have ADHD tendancies. We couldn't get into get the testing done till August but I am doing a bit of reserach on the net about diet and plan on changing a few things here at home.

I haven't forgotten about spilling my secret. lol I can't yet but any day now I'll be able to. I may even try and remember to make a mid week post to let the cat out so to speak.

Pics, projects and a secret too

We have had a nice relaxing weekend here. We went out for lunch down near the river on Saturday. I've scrapped a bit and we also attacked the garden a little today. lol it needs a whole lot more though.

Here are a few of the photos I've taken over the weekend.

We have early closing at school every Friday at 1.00 and when Asher got home she changed her clothes. Now here it is winter and although the days have been sunny here it is still cold and guess what she picks to wear. Shorts and tshirt. Go figure she goes to school with a jumper on durring the week and leaves it on all day but will live in shorts and tshirt on the weekends if I let her.

I took these next few pics down by the river. Yeap my girl really wasn't being co-operative again about having her photo taken but I guess she gets it from Craig as he wasn't behaving either. I have a few pics of them both together with tounges out.

What's been happening over in Therapy.

The round 2 winner of the Make believe masters was announced. Congrats Mandy a well deserved and very close win. The round 3 gallery is filling up with some yummy keepsake ideas now too.

I have also posted the materials list for my free love the things you say box class next Saturday. Would love to see you there if you have no other plans.

We will also be blind scrapping on Wednesday night. The details should be up very soon.

What's been happening at home.

I have had a bit more nice news this week.

Over at the Hero Arts blog last weeks challenge was and inspiration one. One of the girls from the flicker group picked out a card of mine as her inspiration, her card won a prize and they gave me one too.

My Wonderful world layout that I did for the Scrapping the music challenge blog was added to their hall of fame.

I found out not long ago that I won a voucher for my pick up card over at the TSE cybercrop and I also won a game that they had in the chat room tonight.

I joined in on a Friday night frenzy over at The scrapbook shelf on Friday night. Lots of laughs and some fun challenges both of which I managed to do.

The card challlenge was to use circles and I cut out some from a sheet of Scenic Route paper and turned them into some trees. The layout challenge really got me thinking. We had to use 1 cardstock,1 piece of pp, a 1 word title,1 length of ribbon and 1 embellie. I cheated a little as my flower looked bare with out a center so added a button.

I also had some even better news but I can't spill just yet but have been having a few laughs with the girls over at Therapy as they have been trying to guess what it is. They have come up with a list of a few possibilities ranging from being asked to join the Hero Arts team to a magazine editor. I wish.

Some uplifting news

I have had a good week this week. Asher and I have had a pj day today and did lots of nothing much at all. Asher watched a few videos this morning, did some scrapping with me and made a heap of mess this afternoon but then so did I with my scrapping. lol

What's been happening in Therapy.

PT decided to throw a surprise challenge this weekend and the Therapy girls, myself and Asher had heaps of fun lifting a layout from the gallery. There is still a few days to get a scrapping if you have a favorite layout in the gallery and there is a post prize up for grabs from Nat too. This is the layout that I lifteda gorgeous page by Mandy.

When Asher and I went on our photo shoot a few weekends ago she came across some toadstool and I managed to snap a few pics of her with them before she ran of. When I seen the photos I imediately thought of Mandy's page and was going to do a lift anyway.

Just before I started this one Asher came up to me and wanted to scrap too and seeing as I printed of two pics and decided to use just the one gave her the other one and with a print out of Mandy's layout between us we scraplifted together.Here is her layout.She had fun and did it all by herslef, apart from the staples and popping on the double sided tape. She needed a few tips on inking the edges and stamping but she'll get there.

What's been happening at home.

Well as you can guess from my title up there I've had a very uplifting week.

Here is where it started at the Hero Arts blog, then here at Mels blog and a few of the Therpay girls lifted my pages in PT scraplift challenge.

I had some fun and laughs over the weekend joining in on two cyber crops. Thanks to Jane and the girls over at TSE I'll never be able to keep a straight face durring bingo again. One over at CIS and the other at TSE. I managed to do a challenge for each.

This for the card challenge over at TSE. The challenge was to make an uplifting card.and this for challenge two over at CIS which was to use green and orange. Probably not two colours I have thought to put togther before but love the way it all came togther.

I have managed to do another few blog challenges this week too for the US blog scrapping the music

Cyber cropping fun

What's happening in Therapy

Yeap the girls over at Therapy have been having fun cyber cropping this weekend. As there was a few issues with the site this morning the upload date has been extended till Tuseday night so there is still heaps of time to get a challenge or two done.

This month I got to set the first challenge. The challenge was to use the word diamonds in your title or journaling, a diamond shape on your layout and two types of bling. Here is my sample page

and a set of gift cards I did for Relsi's card challenge. I didn't get to do PT's sketch as my weekend just ran away from me.

The winner of round 1 of the MBM was announced on Friday durring the cyber crop chat and Mandy's page is a well desevered winner.

We are into week four of the Squash,scratch and sample competition so if you would like to be in with the chance to have a pizza box full of goodies heading your way pop on over and start chatting.

Do you like the new Noteworthy? I know I do. Nat has uploaded some to the shop but it probably won't be there for long. My favorite alphas are gone already.

I have been trying to get around to joining in on some of the awesome challenge blogs out there and have managed to a page for the 123 challenge blogand one for the White with one challenge blog. I hope to try and get to one or two more done of other challenges too before the end of the month.

I had to have a laugh the other day. Wasn't funny then though. I was talking to Asher's teachers at school on Thursday about and incident that happened on Wednseday. They came across her stuborn side in a major way. They were doing an art activity and had to scrunch up paper and collage it. Nothing too hard. Asher did three, pushed her chair away from the table and sat with her arms folded in front of her and refused to do anymore. No amount of talking to would change her mind. In the end she was taken over to see her pre primary teacher who she gets on well with, still refusing, threatened with calling Dad and even that didn't change her mind. In the end she was taken up to the office and the headmaster had a word with her she came back to the class to do it but by this time everyone had finished so she had to stay in at recess on Thursday to do it. All through it though she wasn't upset at all not even one tear. The thought of having to go to the headmasters office didn't phase her at all the loveable cheeky little sod. The funny thing was before all this happened it was decided that she was going to get an honour certificate on Friday morning. Which she ended up getting. I pretty sure if it hadn't of been sorted out before for little episode she wouldn't of gotten it.

My good news continues.

No it is not anymore comp wins something better than that.

On Monday I came home from work to a nice email for SC asking for my April photo shoot to use in a technique quick grabs gallery.

On Tuseday I came home to a very nice email from Lusi Austin asking me to be a part of a top ten chabby chic article she is putting together for SC.

On Thursday I got a very very nice email from the people over at Paper Trends asking for my card that I had done up for the Hero Arts envelop challenge. My first US mag pub.

Like I said no to any of them lol. Still to hear back form SC about the layout, have spoken to Lusi (or I should say typed lol) about the article and have workedon a layout already and the envelop card is on it's way to the USA as I type.

On Friday I picked up a copy of the new Scrapbook Memoreis magazine which had my cheeky little girl in it.

What's been happening over at Therapy?

there is a lot going on seeing as it is the start of a new month, new avs, new challenges and cyber crop clues coming very soon as we are ccing this weekend.

Here is a page I did with the monthly kit. And there is a step by step in the forum so you can have a play around too.

The Make believe masters is into it's second week with the double layout challenge posted yesterday. Can't wait to see what the girls do with this challenge. Voting is now up for the first round. There are some great pages in the gallery and the votes have been coming in all weekend. Don't forget to pop into the Therapy blog and check out the challenge I have posted there. I've been sorting through some of my Therpay goodies this weekend and will be puting togther a parcel of goodies for the challenge winner.

What's been happening at home?

I took Asher out for a photo shoot on Friday and she was pretty unco-operative. So not wanting to do as she was asked but I did get some nice pics out of it.

My girl peekingo ut of one of the playground pannel holes, under sufferance mind you.

Doing some twirlies in her twirly skirt. lol I tried to convince her to change out of her sneekers and favorite stripy socks that she wore to school but to no avail.

She found some danilion flowers and had fun making dandy wishes. This and another with her tounge sticking out are the photos I have scrapped already.

While trying to get Asger to pose for me under a willow tree she decidedto jump up and reach for the leaves hanging down. She got one small branch then decided to do the george of the jungle swing thing and it broke. I caught this pic and the next one as she fell. Can't see much of her face in them but like them anyway.

We have had a lazy weekend at home. DH out fishing this afternoon, Asher was happily playing with her Barbies and me well I was scrapping. But I can't share anything yet though but will share two layouts and a card next week.

I sorted through my Therpay draw this weekend and while in the sorting mood I did my paper stash. I was pretty ruthless and put aside a whole heap of papers that I know I won't use. I am going to put some a side for a few friends, raks, and have a bundle of smaller scraps to take down to the school.

It was my birthday

this week and I have had a great week. I took Wednesday of as I have a personal rule never to work on mine or Asher's b'days.

I got some money to spend, which I had planned to spen at the craft fair in Perth this weekend but I didn't spend it all. I was pretty surprised actually as this is the one big fair that I usually spend heaps at. My friends gave me some yummy stamps and some chalks both of which I have already used.

What's happening over at Therpay?

A lot just now. We have two comps running. The Squash, scratch and sample competition is into it's second week. Therapy member Corolla won the first weeks prize package and there are a few more on offer too. Therapy's Make believe masters is on again and after the sucess of the competition last year it is going to be an anual event. The challenges are the same as the real ones for those of us not game enough to give them ago.

The June kit is up in store. I had the chance to play around with it this month and this is what I came up withand there is ample paper and card left over for a few more layouts too.

Also my Love the things you say class kit has gone up in the shop too. I had fun putting this togther and hope that you can join me for the class.

This months manufacture of the month is Basic Grey so head on over and get 20% of the yummy papers and pop a Basic grey page into the monthly challenge too.

I did this one up using some scrummy Arcahic papers.I followed the steps for this months Scrapping word pictures challenge. I had a look at some of the pages put in for it and I love the different takes on the same instructions.

The Hero arts blog challenge for last week was to use flowers and I had some fun making up this card for my niece's b'day.

I also have an altered project to share with you all but will do durring the week or on Sunday as I will be popping it up on the Therpay blog as part of a blog challenge.

Yeap I had some more good news this week.

My Proud page that I did up for the Dream girls challenge blog has won. I have got a yummy One page at a time scrap kit on it's way to me from America. I am so stalking the postie.

I have been having some fun with some yummy BG papers that finally made it's way to me this week. Both Nat and I had thought it had been lost as it took a month to get here. I had a whole heap of the Basic Grey dino papers in it and this is what I have done with them.

and a b'day card using some of the scraps for last weeks Hero Arts blog challenge to make you own background. I had fun making my own backgrounds and seeing as I had two birthdays this weekend I made up two more cards for the challenge.

This one for my FIL. I don't have any male HA stamps so I used my long stem dasiy one to make up the grass background and added a little bird.

And this one for my bestie Jane. I used the same stamp as the one for my FIL and layered some cut out bg papers over some of the flowers.

What is happening over at Therapy?

Yeap I had some more good news this week on top of the two I posted last week.

What's been happening in Therapy.

Well the girls all had fun at the retreat and they liked the class I put together for them.

I have had a quiet Mothers day at home. Got a sleep in this morning, dh fitted some new car seat covers for me yesterday and Asher gave me some hand made little gifts from the school mother's day stall and a few she made in class too.

I have managed to scrap a card and a layout this week both for challenges.

My CIS cj is finally home

After 16 months travelling around Australia my chocolate cj is now home. Traveling around it has gotten a bit worn and rugged looking but in my eyes it has gained some character on it's way, minus a chipboard heart,which I have since replaced on the flowers center and with a touch of kindy glitz too. Now to find me some time to try out the yummy stuff in it.

Good news week

Well as you can probablly guess by my title I've had some good news this week. Still no luck on the whole subbing side of things but the next best thing I guess.

I entered the wings challenge over at the Inkurable stampers challenge blog with this card I made up for a friends daughter's birthday and I have won a set of Prima journaling stamps.and I joined in on April's Scrapping word pictures challenge to and my Giddy up page won a prize there. What's happening in Therapy.

While the girls were of retreating and having a ball Pt, the non retreaters and myself were cyber cropping. To give the retreaters a bit more time to upload the challenges when they get home the upload date has been extended to Tuseday midnight so if you feel like a challenge or two there is still time. All the challenge are posted here.

It was my turn to set the card challenge this month and this is what I came up with to fit in with our monthly friends theme.Asher got to set the junior challenge and had heaps of fun scrapping a picture of Shaleah, her bestie from school last year. She ended up moving half way through the year but they still keep in touch.Laura over at Therpay was last months cyber crop super star and she got the chance to run a blind challenge on Friday night. I ended up getting a part of the instructions mixed up so my page is going to look nothing like the rest.

We were surposed to journal around the papers somewhere and as I didn't really have room for it I journaled straight onto the paper once, stuffed it up, covered it up then stuffed it a second time. So I did some creative embellishing and decide on a journal box instead.

On Wednesday night I ran one of two regular monthly blind scraps and this is the page I did up the instructions from.

lol I got the girls a bit confused when we got up to the instructions on the photo matting part. We all had a few laughs over it and the pages that they came up with look great.

May's inspiration challenge has just been posted too and this is my page for it. I had some fun doing up the flower garden and bird house on this page that I may even try something similar again. Be on the look out for some more pics form this photo shoot. Asher had one of her top teeth fall out the day before and I have got some real cute toothy grin pics in amongst the 40 odd I took.

Nat asked me a few weeks back if I would put together a small OTP and layout class for her to teach at the retreat this weekend and now that it is over I can share it. I did up the tag as the OTP part of it then incorporated it into the layout.

Nat loved it, although one of my girl friends wasn't a happy stamper. When I was putting togther the page below I did it when scrapping with her and the next Wednesday she wanted to use the same stamps I used and they were In QLD with Nat. Boy was I in the bad books.

I had done this layout the week before with a tag that I did up for the Hero Arts bird blog challenge and then used it on my layout for the Dream girls Get real challenge and liked it so much that I based Nat's layout around it so didn't share it either.

I made up a card and gift bag for a friends birthday dinner and seeing as I did it up on National Scrapbooking Day I put up a simple step by step post on the Therapy blog.

I had fun doing this up and decided to part with some of my ever growing Therpay stash by putting up a challenge. You can find out all the details here.

In amongst my ever growing Therapy stash I have had some MME stuff for a while and I pulled them out to have a play around with the die cut alphas and used them as a photo mat for my photo on this page I did up for the latest Hero Arts blog challenge .

April photo shoot and other stuff

Well I had some fun the other day taking one of my Nan's old chairs outside with Asher and my camera and managed to get some cute pics of my cheeky toothless girl.

I also spent the day on Thursday with Christine, Sam, Josie and a tone of mozzies out at a miniture village about 40 mins away. And today I was headed out to a craft fair and Asher was going out with Dad. She had some money to spend so she got one of her bags to put her purse in, packed it with some goodies from Sam's b'day party yesterday as well as one of her dogs Isabel and I just had to take some pics. On the scrapping front I have manged to do a bit over the past few days after getting over my throat infection and it all came to a halt when my printer ran out of ink last night.

I managed to do two entries for this weeks Hero Arts blog challenge. I wasn't all that happy with the first attempt to use an envelop in your project with Herop Arts stamps so I did this one as well. Sam's b'day card

which I did entered into the wings challenge over at the Inkurable stampers blog

as well as a gift bag for her pressie, a layout for a cc challenge I joined in on over at Scrap Boutiquemy page with this months Paper possibilities challenge over at Therapy.and my layout for the next Inspiration challenge over at Therapy. Which I can't share just now. I was so bummed as it was on this pic that the printer ran out of ink and I scrapped the page and now I have to reprint the photo and change it.

Well that's all the news on the scrappy front. I have been subbing my pages both here and it the US but without much luck just yet.

Well not me personally but a layout of mine.

My friends boys at a birthday early this year.

lol I am going to post this for a second time tonight. In my cold muddle fuddled head I typed the whole thing and posted it on the Therpay blog.

Not a lot to share just now. I have worked on my challenge for the next Therpay cc, a class for Nat to teach at the retreat, a tag and a layout for a couple of challenges elsewhere but seeing as I based my class layout around what I did for the challenges I'll share after the retreat. We don't want to spoil the surprise do we.

We were blind scrapping on Thurday. Thanks PT for a fun night.I had fun adapting the instructions to the smaller size. Want to join in on the blind scrapping fun? Well join us on the 30th April for the nextblind scrapping challenge run by me.

Over at Therapy we have a paper possiblities challenge where the girls pick out a few papers that have gotten them stumped for ideas and Nat picks out onto work with one to post out to some of the dters. Well my Feb paper arrived on Friday, delayed by Aussie post and this is what I did.I had a bit of trouble trying to get something to work and ended up adding my watercolours and then screwing it up, attacking it with my ink and distressor to make up a card.

More cyber cropping fun

With Craig out fishing most of Saturday and out a car show today I was able to scrap most of my weekend away and had a heap of fun.

I joined in with the CIS girls in thier April cyber crop and managed to do all three challenges.

Still level 1

is for challenge one. To scraplift Tatums page. I lifted the semi circle element and used a folding tech I had seen a few times on the Prima blog to represent the photo grid on Tatum's layout.

AJK

is for challenge two. I have scrapped this pic before but this page is for my girlfriend who is in the photo. We had to use leaves or a tree, handmade journaling block and a diamond shape.

Bug hunt

is for challenge three a sketch. I wasn't too sure just which way I wanted it to go and in the end used both requirements for chal 3 and 2.

Dream big

This is my entry for a new challenge blog that has started up called Dream girls. A few of my US scrappy pals are on the dt there and it looks like a lot of fun.

Well I've packed up my scrapping for the night and will be watching a DVD with Craig and Asher after the gladiators have finished. Lucky for me though I am on holidays for a week and my scrappy stuff isn't totally packed away just tidied up on half of my kitchen bench covered by my plastic table coth.

Cyber cropping fun

I am happy to say that I managed to do all of the challenges for Therapy's cyber crop this weekend and if you still feel like doing some of them you have until Monday night to get them in.

So here is what I have done.

Bucket of bugs.

Is for PT's challenge.

Meaning full journaling as a border and three main colours. I had this pic already printed and have tried to match it in to the Wet page on a past post as it will end up in the album togther. I journaled about how Asher was more excited about hunting for the bugs that the easter bunny left for her rather than the eggs.

School memories folders.

These are for Narelle's challenge.

She posted a picture of an old war poster that had an owl on it. I made up a school memories box last year for some of Asher's bits that I won't scrap or have yet to do so. There is one folder for each year now. I made up the grade 1 one at Christines the other night and I've got to add the pic to the yr 2 one as my printer has no ink at the mo.

Inpired

This is my sample page for the sketch challenge that I got to set this month. I had heaps of fun with my girl friend Justine a month or so ago setting up a photo shoot for my word from a Ali Edwards blog challenge. I took this photo on a childrens slide. I did this page up for a cj I am part, hope you like it Sarah if you happen to pop in, and intend to do another for myself later with a few more of the pics I took.

And here is the sketch I made up with a free digi kit by Vera Lim.

Some pages to share and Cyber cropping news.

I very nearly forgot to pop back in and share some stuff seeing as Blogger was taking ages to load up on Sunday night. Note to self. Update earlier rather than late on Sunday.

I joined in on two blind challenges last week. One at Therapy run by Narelle.and the other at TSE run by Kristine.I had fun doing both of these pages but with the Wet page I decided to try doing it in a diferent size format and it work out great. I ended up pretty much staying with the directions and just altered the sizes to suit.

This months inspiration challenge is now up and this is my sample page.Not one of my favorite pages at the moment. I just couldn't get it to work for me.

I've got some newphews and a niece having b'days very soon so I made up some cards a while back.

The top ones I did with the scraps from my Therpay monthly kit. It was some scrummy Sasafrass lass papers last month and this month it is K and co.

This one I did for my niece. I played around with stamping onto a ghost heart.This one is a just in case one.

It is cybercropping time over at Therpay again and we have got some great challenges set up for you all. Pop in and check them out. Link over in the side bar thingy.

I had fun setting my challenege and doing my smaple. I had a play around with something I've not done alot of before and I think I may just get addicted.

Photos of my town and other stuff.

Thanks for a little challenge from two of my favorite scrappers Mardi and Belinda I picked up my camera and Asher and I went for a walk down to an old little house not far from where we live.

We walked past Asher's school, which we can see from our front door

and past some of the bushland where the kookaburras and pink and greys gather to Sloanes cottage. It wasn't open when we went but I got a few nice shots of it from the outside.

I hope to go out for a short walk or drive and share more of our town each week.

We went up to my SIL and BIL's for dinner last night and before we eat I took Asher down to the park and managed to snap a few good pics of her playing.

Well it is nearly that weekend of the month where alot of fun and games happen over in Therpay. Yes our monthly cyber crop is on next weeked. You can find clues as to what we have instore for you here durring the week.

Also all new challenges will be going up tomorrow too. There is always something going on. I updated the Therapy blog today with links to all of what we have instore for you.

Happy Easter all.

We had an hat parade at school on Thursday and for the third year running Asher decorated her dress up hat which used to be one of mine. I tried to talk her into doing something else or at least using the black one but no it had to be the brown hat.

Well the Easter Bunny has been and gone yet again for another year and Asher has had heaps of fun hunting for her eggs this morning and some bugs too. Her eggs came in a bug catcher so the Easter Bunny hid some toy bugs with her eggs as well and she was more excited about the bugs than the eggs.

After the egg and bug hunt this morning we had a lazy morning and all watched a dvd then we went visiting.
First of to inlaws first where her bug catcher and bugs had to come along too. While she was there she raided the garden for some food to feed her bugs.

Then we stopped for some lunch and went to see my parents where the bugs and Asher put on a concert in the back yard for me.Then we went of for a drive to have a play and get an icecream. We headed out to a park/playground near mums place and had a play and as there wasn't a shop near by to get an icecream from we headed of to Rocky beach for that and Asher and her bucket of bugs had a ball in the sand.

I've now got some new pics to scrap. After my mamoth scrap effort last year I am pretty much up to date on my book of us photos, not that there is many of me or Craig though lol.

I managed to find some time to do some scrapping for me and did a page for this months Aussie scrapjack and a page that I am hoping to submit to a US mag call that I found through my US forum scrappy support group the Pink tiara girls.

Well after our big day out today I'm going to be in all day tomorrow catching up with the house work that I've not done all week before heading back to work. So glad it is a short week.

Easter gifts and other stuff

I've been scrapping this weekend and have some pages to share and some that I can't just yet.

Here are the easter boxes I made up for Asher's school teachers. I have put up a

step by step post in Therapy with pics and instructions on how to make them if you want to have a go yourselves.

I have also scrapped two layouts for a newsleter feature but you will have to wait for the April newsletter to see those.

I managed to join in on CIS cybercrop over the weekend and managed to do one of the challenges and help Asher out with hers.

This is my page for one of the challenges. It was to use watercolours and to be inspired by colours and patterns found easter eggs.

I had a heap of fun doing this as most of you know I love my watercolours.
This is Asher's page. The chal was to use just paint and cardstock at it was so hard getting her to stick to just that as she kept on wanting to add other stuff.

I also scrapped a page on Saturday night for the sketch challenge over at CIS too. It is my new fav and I am in two minds of using it for the challenge as it fits into one of the current US magazine calls and they like the pages they use to be unseen.

I so can't beleive that me, bein the mad scrapper I am haven't got any photos to share. lol That will change next post as I also helped DD make up her bonner for the hat parade on Thursday at school.

With my net still having issues every now and then and no phone connection at all I have had a bit of time to scrap over the past few days and have some pages to show you.

Chip fangs.

I did this page over at Christines last night while my net was down. We both chatted a bit in the Therapy cc then scrapped too. I used Belindas sketch for the last challenge for this page. The pics are of Craig and Asher at her b'day party last year in the haunted house party room at the local play center. lol Craig had fun showing Asher and her friends how to be vampires with chips.

This is my page for the March 123 challenge. I love these pics of Asher on the swing, even if they aren't the best they show her fun loving spirt.I was working at Christines last Wednesday night on a layout for a blind challenge next month and I had a pic and some scraps of paper left over so played around with them and did this mini layout. Not too sure just what I am going to do with it yet but love how it turned out. One of my friends at work is turning 21 on Tuseday and I have made up this autograph album for her. I had some sad news on Friday night that has made my not one of the best I have had. When I first got hooked on scrapping it was the US site scrapbook.com that I joined up with first nearly six months or so before I got onto any of the AU ones. Anyway one of the first girls I got chatty with and have been chatty with for nearly three years now Danielle lost her beautiful little baby boy a few hours after he was born. Thinking of you and your family Missy D.

Long time no post.

Sorry girls but I had major net issues over the past few days and it only was back on last night.

So what has been happening while I was of line.

Well as you guessed it I was having major withdrawls. lol I was so bummed that I ended up missing out on half of Arty Pants first cc and I couldn't even upload the one page I did manage to do for it.

Thanks so much to Christine and Justine who let me borrow their computers while I was at their places so I could catch up with the Thepay girls. I so missed my daily pop ons. Ok Twice daily, sometimes more lol.

What's been happening in Therapy.

Well there are some great challenges this month.

I got to set one of the challenges and here is my page for it.I was inspired by a tv programe promo picture. The pics are a few I took a while back at Craigs first remote control car race that we went down to watch.

What else has been happening.

I picked up Scrapbook Creations today and in it was my second published page. Wahoo.

I also had a few nice emails in amongst the 272 I waded through when we got our net back. I had entered a couple of blog challenges and won a prize in both of them. One of them was for a challenge on the Technique Tuesday blog and I am so going to be stalking to postie and I've got some money to spend too.

Nothing to share this week.

No pic or layouts. I have scrapped but for Therapy things that I can't share as yet. I am trying to get myself ahead and it is working. lol I have scrapped the inspiration for March and am looking for Aprils already, have scrapped a class layout that isn't on the plans till July and have scrapped a sample for April cc too. I just need to try and do a basic digi sketch. Anyone have any simple advice for a non digi scrapper?

What has been happening in Therpay this week.

-Well the SWTS comp has come to an end. 10 weeks, 10 stars and some awesome pages done by all. The winner of week ten and the overall winner will be announced very soon. There were a few Therapy members who with me managed to do all 10 rounds so a big congrats goes out to Cbr900, fifiscrapz, Fran, jennyd, Kelly Girl, Lea, Mandysea, Natchic, Peg, Racsam, Scoutannie and Wendyjw .

-Step by Step bonaza this coming weekend. You can check out all the details here. It is going to be one fun filled weekend.

-We have a new design therapist. Pop in here to welcome our new member. I am so looking forward to working with her. Congrats again Missy.

-The end of the month is near and still time to put in a page for the monthly challenge the inspiration challenge and the calendar class to be in the running to win a voucher.

-We also have a new paper for the month in this months paper possibilities and it is a challenge and a half and I thought last months was a big challenge lol.

-Blind scrapping is now going to be a regular monthly thing too. This Wednesday night it is Narelle running it and next month I will be having a go. I already have an idea brewing for it. If you haven't joined in before do so as it is a whole lot of fun and I love seeing the different pages done from the same set of instructions.

What has been happening at home.

Not all that much really. We lead a very boring life out here. lol

Went up and spent some time with friends yesterday and today and am happy for them to finally get the good news about getting some help that they need. The next three, maybe more months, are going to be a struggle for them and I am hoping that it all goes well for them.

Pages and cards to share.

I have a few things to share today and not one photo as I've not taken any this week.

Red skin antics

is my sample page for Jolenes challenge in the last round of SWTS.

I had fun doing this one. Not!!! It started out as a 12 by 12 with a stamped and rub on title to the left of the green paper but It so wasn't grabbing me so it got chopped and the title re-done.

What does 1 have to do?

Is a page I finally got around to scrapping for Laura as her prize in the av challenge I held durring my weekend of hosting in the month long birthday cybercrop over at Therapy in January. Both the bird and the trans were items I got in swaps last year.

1 sticky girl

is my page for Belinda's Monthly calendar class this month. Belinda does up her pages as 8.5 by 11 and they have been so easy to adapt to my 6by 6 size.

On Friday night Narelle hosted a card class making 5 cards designed by Caroline McLachlan. I had fun making up two of the cards from the class as samples.

This is my fav of the two I did. Asher gave it to her little friend yesterday for her birthday and the other will be for a friend at work who is 21 soon.

What else is happening over at Therapy.

-Have you taken part in a blind challenge before. We have one happening on Wednesday night and they are so much fun. Details will be found here with a materials list going up soon. Don't worry if you can't be around for this one as they are going to be a regular monthly thing.

-Feel like a weekend step by step bonaza. Well over the weekend of the 29th Feb there will be a few projects posted. Tamara a Therapy regular has been posting a few tips in the forum on using chalks and will start of the weekend with a free class on Friday night. You can sign up here.

The rest of Sundays post.

lol my net went down and when it was back up it was a bit late and dd needed sorting out so I'm back.

Here are a few pages that I have done for Therapy this week.

I got to set this months challenge as seeing as it is valentines this month asked the girls to do a wedding page and to include a quote on the layout somewhere.

On our first valentines day together Craig gave me a little book of love letters written by famous people and I have included one of my favorites on the pull out tag.

Over at Therapy Nat had an idea to start up a fun challenge. The way it works is towards the end of the month, before the dters put in thier order I'll put up a post for members whw are stumped on what to do with papers in the shop. Nat will pick one of the first three papers suggested and then pop one into the dt pizza box and get us to do something with it. And 1 lucky member will also get the chance to play around with a piece too. The urban lily flower paper was this months pick. Although the pink cut out flower and a few of the coloured strips was all that I used from the paper.

I have done another page but can't share it just yet, a sample for the next cc. Yeap I went with the idea while I had it going in my mind as it isn't for a few weeks yet.lol

I found sometime to do this months scrapjack too.and to join in on a cybercrop over at CIS.

Well it is goodnight fron me for now. As knowing my little girl she'll be waking up in the wee hours of the morning. Has been doing alot of that lately and the only way she will resettle is if I sleep with her.

First week back at school.

So much for my mid week post again. lol

I have also decided that I am going to have to try and name my post anything other than Sundays share. lol It doesen't help when I am looking for a certain post and I have to read through a month or so's worth.

Asher started back at school and swimming this week. She loved going back to school but swimming not so keen on it. Has got issues with having to go under the water. She loves swimming but isn't going to be a Thorpedo.

I was going to share some stuff but seeing as DD is still up at 10ish I have got to go.

Sundays share

lol so much for me doing a mid week share Oops I forgot.

Well a bit has been happening this past week.

I went up to see Paul, Justine and the boys on Thursday and we had fish and chips at the beach for tea with the intention of getting some nice beach pics of the four of them and silly me forgot to check her camera and only got a few pics as the card was full.

Here are a few I got after deleting some I didn't need. Well it would help if I've taken them of the camera. lol Will hopefully have them sorted for my mid week post.

Ok here are some of my girl having fun decorating one of my old t-shirts to take to school to use as a paint shirt instead.I couldn't help but take the pic of her with the adroable stamp and the finished product.

The pics are of Craig and his new toy that I took a few weeks back when he had his first remote control car race. Much to his disgust I actually painted one of Max's wheels to get the tyer pattern on the paper.lol

Challenge four was the usual card one but a scraplifting one. Bety is an awesome card maker who's blog I pop into often so I asked her to choose her two favorite valentines cards for us all to lift.

This is my card inspired by one of hers.And I finally finished the mini album this morning for a project that will be posted at the end of the month.

Sunday photo and page share

Happy Australia day everyone.

We have a had a quiet weekend here with lots of vegging out at home, although we are planning on heading out to the beach for a while tomorrow sometime.

Here are a few pics of my girl waiting ever so paitiently for the train to come. We went for a train ride up to get her new glasses sorted out seeing where we had to go is a short walk from the train station.Here she is holding the tickets. The tickets that I was going to scrap with the pics but I put them somewhere for later and do you think I can remember. lol

And one of us both together. With me needing a hair cut. I am still trying to decide wether to grow my fringe out or not.

Hopefully I'll have some more beach shots to share next week.

What's been happening over at Therapy

Well the month long cybercrop is nearly at it's end with the party coming to my place this weekend.

You can check out all the info here and the challenges are due Monday midnight if you still would like to give them ago.

For challenge 1 to use red white and blue and to include the Australian flag on the layout somewhere.

Challenge 2 was a card challenge to scrap a male card. I did these up just before xmas for nephews birthdays.

On the Friday night I hosted a scaveneger hunt game with a twist, the twist was to use a few of the items that they found in the hunt on a card but I slipped up and forgot to mention that they may need to use some of the hunt items and some of the items that were used were so not scrapable. We got a few laughs out of it I guess.As it is a long trip from east to west there was a stop over at Belindas on Wednesday night where she hosted a blind chalenge. This is the page that I did for the challenge with some of the red skin photos I took while visiting my friends a few weekends back.

It has been a fun few weeks of ccing at Therapy but the fun isn't stopping just yet as the normal cc weekend is next weekend. Get ready to spread the love.

In other news

Over at CIS even though Ally has now taken over Jolene was still running the last two lessons in the first set of CISters'computer tricks for scrapbookers ongoing competition and I finally got around to doing my pages for the lessons.

One of the lessons was in altering photos to give a hand tinted look and I so love this effect.I have since used the tips on photos for two other layouts that I can't show just now but they are my two favs at the moment and unfortunately they are not for me to keep. One for Laura, My US scrappy pal who kindly let me scrap some snow photos with the next monthly kit pack from Therapy and the other which is for the next inspiration challenge at Therapy is going to be heading over to my girlfriend Amanda's place, is of her little Angel Teghan.

The second lesson for January was to use a blurry photo as a base for your journaling.

I had fun doing this one too and knew just what I wanted to do but had to look for just the right photo. I was lucky enough to get one on my weekend away of Asher so not happy with the camera in her face.

I got the idea for the title from a t-shirt that one of the babies wore into day care last year. More sugar than spice and as it is so Asher I knew that I just had to use it somewhere on a layout.

Well I think it is about it from me. I have been thinking lately that I may need to change my Sunday update to a mid week one seeing as I've been promting the cc's for Therpay and some of my other places I pop into on the Sunday, when they are nearly over. Sunday update.

Hi I have some stuff to share today, hopefully if blogger plays along. lol Wahooe and blogger is playing along.

Now that Nat's birthday, or I should say Therapy's 1st birthday, parcel has arrived I can show you all the diary I did up for her as a little pressie.I have made up several of thse now and they are so easy to do. I record all my layout and project details in mine.

I made up for her to wear when she goes and watches Craig race his remote control car. Yeap spelling mistake and all. lolAnd a photo of Mad Max, as we called the car today, in action.And one of his number one fan cheering him on. LOL before one of his races Asher gave hime a bit of a pep talk and told him to use his brain and think faster with the remote control. Belinda has started up an monthly claendar class where she will share with us some steps to make up a 8.5 by 11 layout to use as part of a calendar. I had started mine for January before the class went up so here is mine in 6 by 6and my page for Feburary using Belinds's January steps. It was so easy to adapt the instructions to my size.

In other news

It is with regreat that I have stood down from my spot on the Arty Pants design team. I want to thank Jodie and Judy for giving me the chance to be a part of their team. I have had heaps of fun working with them in the nearly two years I have been there and will be popping into the forum for catch up with them and all the girls often. LOL I went into one of my LSS I pop into all the time Just Scrapping and Jordie asked me if I was going to apply for one of the dt spots they had on offer at the moment, two days after I stood down form Arty Pants. I had to say no, for now anyway, as scarpping has been taking up a big chunk of my time lately and I don't want it to become a chore as I love doing it so much. Now if she had offered me a part time job I probablly would of jumped at the chance. LOL

Sundays photo and page share.

What a week it has been out here. Asher was back at daycare and Craig at work and I was at work trying to attack the store cupboard in between all my other stuff that I had to do. On Thursday Asher and I drove up to spend some time with Justine, Paul and the two boys again for a few days and as I was up there I didn't get to do any of scrapping but I did manage to get heaps of scrappable photos.

Here are a few.

It was so funny trying to get all of the little rascals to look at me at the same time and the one pic it happened in is where Asher decided to pop her head back into the shot in just the right spot.lol

What's been happening over at Therapy.

-Well the month long cc is still one with the party at Jini's house this weekend and with challenges due midnight Monday you still have time to get something done. You can check out all the details here.

Next week were are all heading of to the other side of Australia and partying at Narelle's and I am sure she will have lots of fun things planned.

-I managed to do my page for the Zina challenge in the Scrapping with the stars

-Seeing as Asher wanted to be Craig's pit crew for when he raced his remote control car I made her up a pit crew tag. I had fun doing up another tag from my class and it is so quick to do. I did it all in about and hour and that includes the taking of the photo for it.

Will have to share photos of these two hopefully tomorrow as blogger is taking ages to upload and it is way past my bed times. So not happy.

What has been happening at home.

-Well I had one not very happy dh on Wednesday night. While I was out scrapping he got a phone call from my mum saying that Asher had changed her mind about having a sleep over and he had to drive 20 mins or so at 9.30 and go a get her. One grumpy Daddy.

-When we got home from our few days away Craig took us all out to be his cheer squad for his first remote control car race and I had hoped to get some pics of the cars in action and got a few. Will share some of my favs tomorrow when blogger isn't being such a pain.

Sunday photo and project share

I got to catch up with my bestie Justine today. I so love this girl and her three boys, yeap, Paul the big one too. It was Carrigans 2nd b'day so Asher and I made the 40 min trip up to join in all the fun and to make it even better I'll be catching up with them all again in a few days time when Asher and I are going to be staying over for a few days. When ever we have caught up before, which only happens every two or three months usually I always forget to take or use the camera and I was so glad when the first thing, well nearly the first thing lol that Justines dad did when they got there was to grab a few pics of us together.

What's been happening over at Arty Pants

Well I was one of the lucky ones this month to get to play around with January's kit. The samples are all up on the Arty Pants site now so I can share them here.

I was a bit unsure just how I was going to use the papers at first but once I got an idea in my head to use the black lined ones in the squares I stuck with it.lol

I'll be putting up a step by step project for this layout in the forum in a few days .

This is a page I new I was going to scrap but wasn't too sure just how to do it. When Asher was in preschool her teacher christened her Pippi Longstockings after the book character, lol the name has stuck and with some help from my sister in law I was able to print of a colouring page of Pippi herself to add to the page.

This is my scrap diary for this year. I made one last year and loved how handy it was to refer back to my layout and project info when I needed to know what I used or where I had it displayed in galleries.And it was my man's b'day durring the week and I made him up a card from the scraps.

What has been happening over in Therapy.

The January month long cyber crop is in full swing with Nat starting of the party this weekend. The challenge Nat set was to use pink, alpha's, ribbon, a template and your own hand writting and this is my mini layout it. I have a brag bag here at home and it has 5 6 by 4 photo pockets in it and instead of just popping a photo in there I'ma scrapping them. lol

There was also a game, my bag tag class and a blind scrapping challenge .

Next week the party continues over at Jinis house and I am sure she has something special up her sleeve.

And a preview of my next class went up too. A date is yet to be set but I hope it all goes as well as my bag tag one did one Saturday night.

Twice in a week

Yeap seeing as I put up a few challenges today at both Arty Pants and Therapy and I forgot all about doing a promo for my my bag tag class at Therapy next Saturday night I thought I'd pop in again. lol

-Nat sprang a new years mini cc on us last night and although I had friends over for dinner I managed to chat for a while before they popped in and the challenges don't need to be in till Friday so there is still time to do them.

What is happening over at Arty Pants.

-The January Tech Tues is up now and this is my sample page for making your own trans embellies.

-I got to play around with the Jan kit this month and have had some fun with it. I have done two pages already and have an idea for two more. Jodee will have the pages up on site soon but here is a sneek of a step by step page that will be going up once the pages have.

-Now I was saying yesterday I would tell you all about Hissy fit 2 and 3 that Asher had the other day. Here goes

We were going out shopping with a friend, Asher was asked three time what she wanted for breakie and she said nothing. The minute I sat down to eat mine she wanted some so I said she had to wait till I had finished or get dh to make. Not good enough for her so she started to sulk. When I had finished we had to get ready to go out so I said I would make her a sandwhich to eat in the car after we had gotten changed. Not good enough. She then lost it over the new xmas clothes I had pulled out for her to wear sreamed the place down at having to wear them. I ended up getting her to choose something she wanted to wear as I really didn't have the time to fight with her and told her she had to wear the xmas clothes the next day. Lost it again. By this time dh had had enough and had picked up her lap top(leapster hand held) and put it away in the cupboard and there it is staying till she wears some of her xmas clothes. Hissy fit 1 over in about 20mins.

Asher had some money she wanted to spend at the shops when we went out and I told her that my friend would be the one to say if she could spend it or not after the mornings performance. She was doing a great job of sucking up to her as she really wanted to buy something. When it came time to pick something she took ages to choose and kept on wanting something she didn't have enough money for. In the end Jane said no and she lost it again. There we were trying to drag/carry a kicking and screaming 7 year old out of the toy section and out of the shop. So not fun. We still had some food shopping to do and as Jane could see I was getting really upset with Asher she told me to go and do it and I left her with Jane. As I went around I could hear her still going. Lasted about 15mins all up. After that her money, and hand bag has been claimed by Jane for a while. It was funny though last night when she was over for tea Asher was ever so nice to her.

Anyway that is it for now. Asher has her twister dance thing going so I may just go and join her in doing it for a while.

Sundays share on a Monday

Blogger wasn't behaving for me yesterday and would only let me load up half my pics. So I finshed of my post this morning.

Here is a photo of my Angel (not) on xmas morning. She got totally spoilt by Santa, us and family and had heaps of fun until she had a major hissy fit on xmas afternoon.

She got to see Santa come round after waiting out front for about 20 mins. She could hear him way before he came round and just had to wait out front for him.
and this pic I took when we went of to the beach the other day. She had heaps of fun playing around and chasing the seagulls, both on the sand and in the water. No seagull was safe. lol I wanted to try and get some pics for a mini calander I am planning on doing up for my computer area so when we got ready I tied her Aussie scarf around her waist and it stayed there for most of the time, even out in the water. That is what she is waving around. I took 70 pics that day and Craig took another 20. I was actually quite surprised. The monthly challenge was to scrap a page about your star sign and personality and here is my sample. I am on a cusp and in some places I looked I was Gemini and others I was Taurus. In the end my page took a twist as it turned out I and dh too think I am a mix of both.

What has been happening at home

-With both Craig and I still on holidays things have been really relaxed here. No rushing to do anything just taking things easy and as they come.

-We have had a few hissy fit moments with Asher these past few days, I just hope the have come to an end for a while. On xmas day late in the arvo at home she wanted to play one of her new games. We played, she lost and literally threw what was in her hands across the room screaming and ran of to her bedroom. 10 mins later she was still going, I had found the lost marbles, the game had been put away and I began the long job of trying to calm her down. I managed to do so and we had a talk about not always having to win things as she has been having major issues with that lately. As a result of her fuss she was told she couldn't have any of her xmas stuff till tomorrow, that went down ok until she wanted her leapster (b'day pressent) but I took out her xmas game that was in it. Then it all started again. After 10 minutes she calmed down again and asked for her b'day pressent that she was given that day by her cousin. Had got it but had to have a shower first, complaining all the way, everytime she started crying again I put down the scissors and stopped unpacking her barbie car. 30 mins or so later she was calm,in her pjs and playing Barbies. That was hissy fit number 1 will tell you about yesterday's 2nd and 3rd ones later or I may still be here in my pjs at 12.00.

Photos, pages and some news.

Well it has been busy out here this last past week. So busy infact that I missed my usual Sunday post and didn't even realise.lol

I have been having a bit of fun in photo shop lately and did up this little xmas card to wish everyone a safe a happy xmas.

One of the reasons we have been busy is that Asher turned 7 on Monday. Here she is opening up one of her pressies
and with Craig being vampires with chips at her party.
I would of showed you a pic of the b'day cake complete with a haunted house but I seem to have lost the photos. Bother that.

Here is another reason why things have been busy out here.

Asher's dancing concert was this weekend and we had a few rehersal to go to, one full dress rehersal with hair and make up and two minor ones.

I took this photo at the full dress rehersal where Asher had a ball playing around with the others and her toy mouse.

I have not long come in from her last concert where she did a great job.
Over at Therapy the stars comp is still running and this is my entry for round six. The challenge set by Sirley Chai was to use your most recent pic and products.

I took these photos a few Fridays ago at Craigs work wind up and it was Craig who gave me the title idea. I used my new Fancy Pants stamps that came in that day as well as the packaging and some of the goodies I got from Nat.

Over at CIS Jolene has been running a photoshop comp. She puts up lessons and we all do up a page using the lessons. This month the lessons are on sepia photos and black and white with a hint of colour.

Here is my sepia layout. Using one of the photos I took durring our beach xmas hat photo shoot. My other page,well that is where my news pops into this post, has been acepted by Scrapbooking Memories. I am so over the moon about it. Now to crack For Keeps and I will have gotten into all three Aussie mags.

Well that is it from me for now. I did have a tag I wanted to do but I just realised the time and i think I had better go to bed. I've got a lot on tomorrow.

Sundays share

Yes all it is Sunday and I'm back with my usual update.

First thought I wish to say thanks to all the girls both here on my blog and on my forums too who gave me some well wishes and the odd few chuckles too over the incident durring the week with the soap dish. I am happy to say that the offending soap dish has now been taken out and in it's place is a normal tile. Not matching though but eventually the bathroom will get a revamp anyway.

On the advice of a few of the girls dh has been given a few bops over the head for it all too. Much to his discust.

This weeks photo share is of Reenie. I have taken heaps of photos of Asher at Craigs work xmas party but haven't gotten them of the camera yet so will share some of them next time.

Asher was playing with her dolls and just had to put a bib on Reenie,who made a quick exit not long after. As I was outside at the time taking some pics of my xmas decs posted below I snapped a few of Reenie too. lol as I was snapping away I already had an idea for a title

"Don't let Bob see me in this"

Bob being a cat that often visits our yard and low and behold a few minutes later who should show up but Bob himself. lol

Therapy was a buzz this weekend with the Decemeber cybercrop and there are some great challenges to be done. The due date is Wednesday so there is still time to check them out and maybe do a few.

The first challenge was to scrap some christmas photos in non traditional christmas colours. I managed to snap these photos of Reenie durring the week.

The journaling reads (in stickers) I've been good Santa and the tree is still standing and around the edge it talks abouth ow we were worried that she would attack it and how so far she hasn't.

This is my take on Jinis sketch for challenge three. I'm yet to do challenge two.

The challenge was to use the sketch but to include photos of a xmas toy or food.These photos are a few years old now but I love them especially the top one. Certainly not the best of photos but it just shows how excited Asher was. She was jumping up and down that much when I took it that it is all a blur. This month I set the midnight madness challenge which was to use something old, something new, a photo of someone you love and some ribbon too to make some xmas decs. I used an old ribbon spool and a Maya Road embellie tin and my new Figgy Pudding papers that Nat sells. What else has been happening out here.

-Well the countdown is now one. Two more days of work then I am on holidays for a week. Not that it will be much of a break as it is a pretty full on week ahead.

.Saturday-My work christmas lunch

.Sunday-11.00 to 1.00Asher has a dancing rehersal then it is of to my mum's for a combined b'day party for Asher and my niece and two newphews.

.Monday-Asher's b'day-Not too sure what we are doing yet but we usually go out somewhere as a family after all the pressies have been opened and played with.

.Tuesday- Asher's b'day party and then we have another dancing rehersal.

.Wednesday-Christmas concert at school in the morning then the day is mine.

.Thursday-Full dress rehersal with costume and make up

.Friday-First concert-Me helping out back

.Saturday-Second concert at lunch time-Me out back and a third that night with me dh and mum watching

In amongst all that before Asher's b'day party I need to sort out makinga haunted house cake dec of some sort and some lollie boxes too.ARRRGHHHH

Picture this

It's 6.40 and I am pulling into the drive at home after a long tiring day at work with visions of dinner waiting for me, dd bathed and in pjs, dishes hopefuly done and all I would need to do before having friends over to scrap was to eat and have a shower.
I walk in to find dishes not done,that I could cope with, DD naked doing acrobats on the edge of an empty bath tub and dh sitting at his computer with headphones on playing one of his war games. With a few choice words to dh I ran dd's bath and went to the toilet only to have dd at me the minute I sat down saying she needed to go. I get of and she gets on and so after another few choice words to dh I decided to have a shower, take my time and start shaving my legs.
After having done one leg dd comes out of the toilet and complains that the bath is too cold, I tell her to go see her dad, who is still on his game, he walks in and turns on the hot water tap giving me a cold shower. Another few choice words he laughs with dd about me getting cold instead of turning of the water to the bath, I jump up to get away from the icy cold water and hit my head on the soap dish, breaking it and gashing my head.
So needless to say dd din't get her bath, got into her pj's instead and dh rang my friend who was coming over to scrap to come over early and sit with dd while I get taken to the hospital with one leg shaved .

At the hospital I am sure the nurses and the doctor all had a few giggles over how I got the gash in my head. I was given the option of having my gash stiched, glued or stappled. I went for the glue and dh just laughed and said I thought you'd go the staples. Likey option for sure NOT!!!!!!
I get home and both my friends are here and they had a few giggles too. By this time I was starving so I had some toast and coffee, chatted for a bit then crashed when they left.
So now my head is a bit sore as well as my neck slightly from sleeping on one side all night and I have to get dh to help me wash some of the blood out of it and dd is so excited about the fact that I had to go to the hospital.

We put up our xmas tree yesterday andas you can probably tell Asher put up most of the decs.

I took this photo of my little elf after we had finished doing up the tree. Trust me she isn't as sweet as what she looks this girl has a lot of spice in there too.lol

This is my page for the Carole Janson round of Scrapping with the stars. We had to use 3ding on out page but not flowers.

Sunday share and some good news

I was goingto start this post with my usual photo share but blogger is not loading up the pics so I'll leave it at my page share for now and hopefully get to do the photo ones tomorrow. I have some good ones to share.

Now for my news. I am now a part of the awesome team over at Scrap Therapy. I am so wrapped to be given the chance to work along side some of my favorite scrappers at one of my favorite scrappy sites to pop into. Thanks to Nat and the girls for making we feel so welcome.

This is my page for the round 4 challenge for scrapping with the stars at Therapy set by Charm. I had fun doingthis one. I wasn't too sure about how I did the Antics part of the title but like how it has turned out. Both Jane and Christine the other night while I was working on it like it but I wasn't too sure.

I love the little ghosty mouse stamp. I picked him up along with a little bat mouse a while back at a pre loved sale I went to as they were so cute. You will be seeing some more of him in the next few weeks or so as Asher is having her birthday at the fun station in the haunted house room so I will be having to make up a cake and goodie bags of some sort.
I joined in on a cyber crop with the girls over at TSE and managed to get three of the chals done.

Here is my page for challenge 1.

We had to use handwritting, sewing of some sort and to pick one of three song titles. I picked the title I hope a song by the Dixie chicks and scrapped a page for Asher's school album about an incident at school that was so begingto be scrapped and seeing as I didn't have a photo I got Asher to draw a picture of her kissing the boys at school and then getting in trouble for not listening to her teacher when she was asked to stop.I know the kissing boys part of it is all a part of growing up and stuff but it is the listening side of it that had me most annpyed as she has got to learn thatshe needs to listen to her teachers.

I was scrapping the background for this while Asher was doing her picture and I was very proud of the way she wanted to add so much detail to her drawing. The part of it you can see behind hte teacher is a snake and hopscotch grid painted on thep paved area of the play ground and she has even added some of the garden beds and children playing right down to a skipping rope for one of her figures.

And this is my xmas bauble for chal 2.

Annette had set up some cc kits for the girls if they wanted to buy them but I didn't get one this time round as I wasn't too fusssed on a few of the pps.

So I ended up using a Maya Road chippie circle for my bauble instead of the Kaiser Craft one the others used and love how this has turned out. It is for the cook at work as part of a Secret Santa gift I need to sort out for her.

So what else has been happening.

-We went of to the beach today and with santa hat and my camera in tow Asher had a ball on the beach and I took nearly 80 photos. I haveeven got a few nice ones of Reenie and her hat too taken at home the night before. Those or I should say some of them are the photos I was going to share tonight but blogger wasn't on my side.

-I had a go at updating the dt blog at Therapy this week and did my first offical post at dt memeber. Check it out if you want. (I've not got a link in the side bar to the blog yet but it isn't too hard to get to from the site which is there) And if you feel like taking on my challenge you could win a $10 voucher to the store.

- I will be starting up a new monthly challenge over there too so be on the look out for that too.

I reached it

My 200th page that is.

Congrats to Linda who had the closest guess of the 15th. I actually scrapped it on the 16th and that is only because I had wanted to print out some pics to use and ran out of ink. When I did have the ink though I chose to scrap a school photo of Asher's instead. lol

Linda can you send me over an email with your snail mail addie and I'll work on putting together a pack for you.

Here are two sneeky peeks of pages I sent over to Jodie today that I did with the some of the goodies from the Novemeber dt challenge pack and boy was it a challenge.lol The papers are not normally something I would have picked to scrap with but I am happy with what I have done.

Jodee will have them up on the site sometime this week so hopefully I'll post the full pages next post.

And this page is my 200th one for the year.

I had one of my regular so it seems journaling stuff ups and had to do some creative covering on it. lol I think I went a bit over board with the flowers but like it anyway.

This is my page I did for the black and white photo challenge over at CIS. I love this photo of Asher taken at the beach but it has some glare on the water in the photo that dosen't seem as harsh in black and white.

Well what else has been happening out here.

*My ghostly hugs page in the last post won the challenge in the CIS cybercrop so I have a scrappy voucher to spend.

*Went out fot KFC last night and there just happened to be a town fair on across the road for m it and we went over for a look see. Bad idea. Asher was told that she could have 1 ride and buy 1 bag with her pocket money. She got her ride, or I should say two, they stopped the mini roller coaster after two laps as she wasn't liking it and gave her ticket back so she went on the big jumpy castle and slide. When it came time to picking out the bag though we had mega dramas as she wanted a toy one and they cost more than what she had. In the end I convinced her to get two lolly bags with her money and she then proceded to lose it big time. Craig pretty much had to carry her outto the car screaming and we got the usual "I don't want to be a part of this family anymore" speach that we get when things don't go her way. She finally calmed down when we got home but was a little unsettled so I slept with her.

Well it is that time of the week again and I have had fun.

I took my cmaera to swimming this week as Asher had been talking about finally jumping into the pool after nearlt 4 years of lessons. I snapped this one of her coming out of the foam mat tunnel

and this one of her finally jumping, not sitting on the edge and falling into the pool.

I did it for the bingo over at Therapy and what I had to use was ink, something yellow, and more than two flowers and brads. When I posted on my forums about Asher doing this finally I made up a little song to the words of a Dora song and one of the girls at Therapy suggested I use it as my journaling. So Idid. lol

I joined in on all the fun of the CIS cybercrop on Friday night. Thanks for the laughs girls I had a ball as usual and managed to get two of the three challenges done.

This is for chal 1. We had to do a monochramatic page using a journal card and 3 different ribbons.

197 I loved the funness(if that is a word) of the photo of a blurry Reenie running from Bob, a regular visitor to our yard.

For chal 2 we had to choose three colours for a list of about six I think and to use those colours, frame something and to use some creative stamping.

I chose to use Chocolate, teal and cream and so love how this page all came together in the end.

We had to scrap our goals. Seeing as I've not been out of the state one of my goals is to see more of our country.

*I grew up in the house that my dad did.

*I have lived in 8 houses.

*A photo of Beau(pet old english dog)with first dh is still on my fridge even though she has now passed on and I hadn't seen her in years before she died I still think of her often.

Sundays photo and page share

Well it is that time of the week again. The end of my scrappy time for now. Roll on Wednseday night. Well probably not Wednesday seeing as I have got to go to an inservice after work. So not happy but you get that.

This week Asher got invited to her first Halloween party and she was so excited. She also had a Halloween disco on Saturday night so we went out and brought a ghost costume. it was going to be a witch till I went looking and I didn't want to pay $30 dolars for a witch when I could get a ghost for $13.

I took this photo in the backyard before heading out to pick up Asher's friend Emma who was going to the disco and having a sleep over too. I asked her what ghosts say and she walked towards me whooooing. lol

I pretty much spent most of the weekend at home scrapping and doing housework as well as entertaining Asher and her friend today. Craig spent most of the weekend up on the Perth foreshore taking photos of the Red Bull air races. These are three of about 150 or so photos that he took. Yes my new baby got a work out and a half.

This is my page for the second round of scrapping with the stars comp over at therapy. This round the star is Lusi Austin. The challenge this week was to make journaling the focus of your page either on the background of your layout or on the photo and to use red. I was trying to stick to a boy page seeing I was scrapping a page about Asher playing with cars and it was so hard not to add a flower but I pulled it of in the end.

Over at Therapy this weekend was their cybercrop and I had heaps of fun chatting and although I missed the bingo last night being at the disco with the girls I was around for the chat,in between trying to sort out two noisy girls, and was crowned this months therapy night owl.

This is a page I did for chal 1. It was a colour wheel challenge and we had to use two colours from opposite sides of the colour wheel. I chose to use blue and orange.

I was also a bit sneeky and used this challenge to do my pages in a cj I have here.

Challenge three was a sketch challenge and we had to include colours from our zodiac signs. I am on a cusp and depending on where I look I am either a Gemini or a Taurus and those colours are red and orange tones so I used both. The colour of the bazzil is a bit dark in the pic though. Challenge four was a card challenge and seeing as it was a colour themed cc we had to make a card using the words you colour my world.

Over at CIS Jolene has started a new comp called computer tricks for scrapbookers.

The first lesson was on how to print out an a4 photo. We then had to do a layout with an A4 photo and this is what I came up with.

Not too sure if I am liking it although it is growing on me.

Page 191 This week the scrappy star is Steph Caskey-Devlin and her challenge for us was to do a black and white page with the only colour in the photos. Those of you who know me and know what my favorite thing is at the moment would know how hard it was for me not to reach for my watercolour pencils for this page. lol I was even thinking of adding some black watercolours somewhere.

This is my page for the Photography comp over at CIS. This month Jolene gave us some tips on taking Sunset/sunrise photos. We headed out to the beach near us and I got Craig and Asher to walk out along the jetty.If you can acutally read the journaling around the layout. Please excuss the typo. For the past two weeks Jolene has been running a little comp and part of it was to share an OTP project and this is what I made for it. After Asher lost her glasses a few weeks back when she left them on her bed and they fell down the side I decided she needed a glasses post. While you are over at CIS. Well what else has been happening out here

-A big congrats to Deb over at Therapy. The newest dt memebr. I had so much fun joining in on the challenges for the final spot on the dt and was happy to have made it into the final six. I so can't wait to see what Deb brings to Therapy.

-My 200th page still is to happen. I'm up to 192 at the moment. Thanks to Julie and Linda for guessing when I'll hit the 200th one. Just add a comment below letting me know when you think I'll get to it and you could be in the running for a page kit rak from me.

-Asher has been invited to her first Halloween party on Wednesday and she is so excited about it. So much so that she and I had a sleep over in her bed last night and we shared spooky stories till we both fell asleep. Well spooky for her anyway.

-She is also in the bad books with dh. Getting out of his car yesterday she opened up the car door onto my car and both now have smallish dent's in them. I'm not to fussed about it but dh is. Out polishing it now after touching it up with touch up paint. DH was talking about it with Asher this morning and she said sorry. DH turned around and said that she had to go say sorry to both the cars as well so of she trotted and gave both cars a kiss and a cuddle. I didn't grab my camera quick enough to get a photo. lol

Sunday photo and page share

Well today after I cleaned up the house and DH attacked the back lawn the four of us went out for a drive. Yes we took baby too and both DH and I had a play around with taking some photos. Here are six of my favs.

A page I did for the skecth challenge over at the Therapy Saturday night fever last night.

The pics are of Asher as she finally conquered the flying fox a few weekends ago. Thanks for the flower to Kaz. Finally used it and I did it. Resisted temptation to add some watercolours to my doodled border. lol

Is my page for the 123 monthly challenge. I used one of the many photo's I took of my brat last weekend after she had finished playing around with her stash of play make up. Page 187

Is my page for this months Aussie scrapjack. I so love how this one turned out. It sort of took a life of it's own in the end. The photos are of Asher durring swimming lessons last term. We had to swim in pjs as part of the lesson one day and she usuallly hates it but not this time. And why did I number my pages you might ask?

Well I still have the blog guessing game going on as to when you may think I'll reach my 200th page. I've had one person guess so far but the likely hood of me scrapping 11 pages by that date probablly a task even for this scrapnut. lol

This is a card that I made up as part of a package on it's way to a very special little girl who has, along with her family, gone through a bit of a rough week. It is a bit hard to tell by the photo but the dress on the girl has been 3d.And these next few pages are what I did with the Cherry Arte papers I got sent by Jodie over at Arty Pants a while back that I have been meaning to post. I had fun working with these and this first one the photo itself isn't a great one, a bit grainy, but I so had to scrap it as it is so Asher when she gets in one of her moods.

As to what else has been happening out here

-I got another page accepted by SC. My Two page in the previous post. I am so wrapped.

-I chatted with the girls over at Therapy last night for their Saturday night Fever and had a few laughs. I found out too that the sketch I did for the last months SNF challenge came equal first in the votes and I'll be stalking the postie for a surprise soon.

-I tried out some sunset pics for the CIS photography challenge this month and they turned out well. Got dd and dh to walk out along the jetty near home. Will hopefully get to scrap them this weekend.

Sundays page and photo share

and I'll start with the good news for the week. My first published layout was in this months SC and I was so wrapped about it I had to drag dh out the back when I got home for him to get a photo of me with it.

And this is the layout.
On Saturday while dh was out for most of the morning I did a bit of scrapping and Asher wanted to pretend to be a Brat after watching a Brats DVD so she went into the bathroom and pulled out her little stash of makeup that she had been given and went for it. I just had to get some pics before getting her all cleaned up. lol
Asher had her friend Emma sleep over durring the first week of the holidays and I went a bit crazy taking phots of the two of them and ended up scarpping this frame and the layout below with some of the photos. I scrapped the glass of the frame too but it is a bit hard to tell from the photo. I gave the frame to Emma.

And this is the layout I scrapped. Around the border I have written two cheeky monkeys sitting on a bench g.i.g.g.l.i.n.g.

And I also scrapped this photo of Asher and her once constant companion my Pooh bear.

I have scrapped this photo three times now. Once last year sometime, and the other two just recently, one for my girl friend Jane and this one will be framed on put up somewhere. This page makes my 186th for the year. Don't forget girls I have the little guessing comp going as to when I'll do my 200th page. Just leave a post here with your guess and whoever guesses closest will win a rak from me.I did these projects and three card with the goodies from the monthly kit over at CIS. Yummy stuff to play with and I've still got some goodies left over.

-I took out my camera and tripod out tonight and tried taking some sunset photos for the photo comp over at CIS. They aren't too bad I'll try and get some more next weekend.

Big photo and page share

Well it is Sunday and here is my usual photo and page share and as you can see from the first photo I have a new toy.

I met up with my girlfriend on Friday and took only my new baby to have aplay around with and my little cheeky girl just wasn't in the mood for having her photo taken at all. This is one of the better ones I took.
Over at Arty pants I was involved in a page swap with Laura as we were the only two fav foto fri sharers last month and this is the page I did for her.
The photo is of her little girl Kaytie and her two pet dogs waiting for Daddy to come home. I had so much fun doing this page.

This week the CIS news letter went out and with it the pages I did for it as part of my guest dt spot last month. So now I can share them
Jolene gave a box full of yummy goodies to play with. Some new Codmo Cricket papers and some MME papers to as well as an assortment of yummy embellies and flowers. I also needed to have a play around with altering my photos andI did a mix of photoshop and hand altering on them.
This is a 6 by 12 for Reenies album. She decided it would be fun to try and get into a bundle of plastic bags a while back and I just had to take a photo.
I altered the photo in photoshop using Jolene's tip to give the photo a blurred look. You can find all the details here

This photo is one that I have always loved even if it is a bit dark in the background seeing as it was taken in the shade.

I had some of the Cactus pink florishes to play around with. I'm not a real fan of them but this one looked good, chopped in two and then put back together again differently.
The pages I did with the MME papers were the ones that I had the most trouble with which surprised me seeing as they are a favorite of mine.
The brackets around my title and journaling was a frame which I couldn't get to work just right as it was so I chopped it in two.
Asher loves to draw and I smnapped a few photos of her drawing.

In the pocket I got Asher to do a few drawings to add to it. I love doodling frames with adding rub ons and water colours lately.
On Friday night I was a very busy and chatty girl. Yes two of my favorite forums had a cyber crop going. Over at CIS they had their first b'day cc with lots of fun games and challenges. There are a few free online classes. I hope to get to do them later, especially Jolene's clear album that she put together with serviette's from Katies birthday party. Liz put up a guess who game from 1st b'day baby photos. I put in my guesses not long ago and probably only have one right, mine lol. I managed to do two of them.

This one is for challenge 1. We had to use 5 colours(mine were pink,brown,green,orange and white), ribbons as part of the title and a special occasion.

I scrapped the many photos I took of Asher dressed up for dress up day at school last term.
I did my usual of late,doodled border with watercolours and asked Asher what clowns did and wrote down what she said along the top border and ended it with, but most of all have heaps of fun.

The second challenge was we had to use the numbers in the year we were born. For me 1966 I used 1 patterned paper, 9 flowers,6brads and 6 different alphas, the number 1 somewhere and hand stiching.
I scrapped the before and after no lace pics from last weekend. lol Some of the girls over at CIS didn't think I would be able to keep them aside for the cc chals this weekend but I proved them wrong. And the lace under the photo is of her leggings.

The other cc was over at Therapy and it was a big one too. They had a girls night in to help raise money for cancer research. The last time I checked they had raised $505. Way to go girls. Along with the 4 challenges they ran 4 online classes at a cost of five dollars each with all class monies going to cancer research. I signed up for two of them and they look pretty good. I've yet to do the pages from them but will do so later.

I only managed to do one challenge at Therapy but love the way this page turned out. When I did the after pics the otherday of Asher in her no lace leggings she took one of her dolls out with her and she had to be in a few photos too.

Challenge one was to get inspired by pj's and to use either fabric, felt,fiber or fur on our pages.

Well I've got some cute mickey mouse pj's here that are in the same colours as the doll and Asher's dress in the photos. I love the pics of Asher being silly that I just had to scrap them and choosing one was too hard so I did six.lol
Over at Therpay they had games too and I was lucky enough to win two of them. Angel had a midnight savenger hunt through the forum, gallery and blog to find and link ten listed items back to her and even though I wasn't really in the mood for a game I did it anyway and won and there wasalso a game of twenty questions which I won too.

Over at the Apple place they were running a sketch comp on their blog. To draw up a skecth and do a page from it and this is the page I did from it or the other way round actually as I did the page then drew the sketch.lol
I have been promising my friend Jane for ages that I would scrap this photo of Asher for her and finally,with some little prods from Jane on Wednesday while she was here scrapping, did it. And seeing as I have just learnt the art of colouring photo's in photoshop(thanks Jolene) I tried it out on the bucket and Pooh which was once mine.
What else has been happeing here

-school hols are into their second week now and I'm back at work tomorrow

-Asher had a friend sleep over and they both had heaps of fun. Very noisy though.

-Going to be catching up with my sister and friend thursdayand friday next week so more chances to play with my new toy.

It's Sunday and here is my photo and page share

After another hissy fit and a battle of wills with Asher over her having to wear her lacy legings under her new dress which had shrunk a little in the wash I managed to convince her to keep them on long enough to take photos of her unhappy in them and then we took them off and cut the lace of as it was the lace that she didn't like.

and yes I'm keeping the lace and have plans on using it on the page when I scrap some of the 40 odd pics I took. Hopefully I can refrain from scrapping them till the CIS cybercrop next weekend. lol Liz and some of the other Cisters didn't think that I would be able too.

I did this next page for the K I Memoreis challenge this month there. Doing it was a challenge and a half as I don't have a lot of K I stuff here, not too keen on the new papers but I did have two older papers that I managed to work with. The red spotty one and the white one with the printed words on it, which I chopped and covered to form my title and part of the journaling.
around my doodled frame I wrote the words to the I scream you scream childrens song and added to the end "you can scream all you want this one's mine and I'm not sharing"
My journaling, which I put together with bits of the pp, a chippie circle, some stickers and handwritting reads"You make sharing a delight but not this time it's all about me and it's mine and I'm not sharing"
and the title which I put together the same way reads "I like to share with you but NOT my icecreams though"

With two of my favorite places to pop in and visit having a cc on the same weekend I'm going to be busy but I'm sure it is nothing this little scrapnut can't handle. lol
I chatted with the girls at TSE for their first cc and had a ball. I managed to do two out of the four challenges.
This one below I did for the scraplift challenge and lifted Kathy Pitts jump page seeing as I had similar pics to the ones she used.
I love how quickly this one came together. Asher seen the trampoline jumping thingy at one of the bigger shopping centers last school hols and just had to do it all again. She did it last year as well so I've got two totally different pages of her doing the same thing.
lol If I had of thought of it I would of uploaded the other page too.

The other page I did was for the MME, buttons and no journaling challlenge. I had to scan that page as my camera was playing up and it isn't that great so will take a pic of it tomorrow and post it next post.

This is my monthly page for the 123 challenge, the one I forgot to post last time.

The photo is one of the ones Mum took on holidays up north of Felicity(one of Asher's dolls) who went with them after a major hissy fit at dancing. Asher had the choice of going into dancing or have Felicity go on holidays and in no uncertain terms it was

"Well Felicity can go on holidays them as I'm not going dancing"I had a laugh with Mum when they got back. She was saying to me that Dad kept on laughing at her taking the photos as they went around but it was Dad that took her out of the caravan where Mum put her and put her in the back of the 4WD where she could see where she was going.
Well what else has happened out here since yesterday lol

-dh went out fishing today and had the nerve to take his camera with him and left me with mine which is playing up at the moment

-he caught 2 fish and knows that I can't stand the smell or sight of fresh fish and what does he go and do, hold the fish up in all their glory for me to admire then wonder why I won't look at him and then wonders why I grumbled at him for waving the fish rubbish under my nose as he walked it out to the bin.

-with dh out fishing all day Asher and I had a pj day. Both of us stayed in our pj's till 5.30 ish then we had showers and got into clean ones.

-I was writting up my latest pages in my little scrap dairy for the year and realised that I have nearly done 200 pages for the year. 179 to be exact so I thought I'd run a little blog comp. Just post in the comments below the date you think I may reach my 200th page and when I've done it the first person who guessed closest will get a rak from me.

Sundays share on a Saturday

Yeap a day early only beacuse I've got so much to share, I even forgot one page and I hope to have some more for tomorrow too.

On Tuseday they had a clown come out to the school and they were allowed to dress up as clowns for the day and here is my cheeky little clown.

The pants she is wearing are a pair that mum made up for her ages ago, she would of been under two, for red nose day at day care. She made them with bone in the waist so they need to be held up by the braces and the legs longer,we had them tacked up, so she could wear them later if she wanted to.
Over at Arty Pants I've got the next round on the ongoing rak posted. This altered red rooster mug will be on it's way to Laura very soon.

Over at CIS the photo comp is still running and I've been playing around with Jolenes tips on taking better photos. This month we had to take nightime pics I took a photo of the dinning room at the retreat I went too a while back as the landscape one, the photo here of Asher for the outside portrait one and the brats by candle light for the low light one and scrapped my snail serenader. yeap that's right while outside sitting on the step doing the photo shoot Asher found a snail, covered it up and started singing to it. Over at CIS at the moment there is lots of fun on the cards for their first birthday celebrations.

Last Friday I popped into Forever Always and joined in on the chat for their cybercrop. I had goood plans on doing at least two pages but have just done the one. I may stil get to the other one day but don't like my chances.for this challenege we had to be inspired by our pantry, use our basic scrap supplies no ribbons, bling or flowers, staples and leftover letters and packaging.

I love the way this turned out I did it while at the all day crop I went too last Sunday and the journaling took me ages as I was working backwards from the title.

The packaging on my page is the brown card between the two dream street papers from a box of cornflakes I opened that morning and the black strips from some Hiedi Swap letters.

It was also my first attempt at colouring a black andwhite photo. Thanks to Jolenes great photo shop tips that you can find here

This is my page for the 123 cybercrop and the flowers and buttons challenege over at TSE I had hoped to do another for the 123 cc but time got away from me. With this page I have our family album up to date and in albums up to Asher's forth birthday.
I did have the 123 monthly yo share but that is the one I forgot to upload to blogger before starting this post so wil upload it next time.

So what else has been happening out here

-Well my big news is that I made it. Made it through to the next round of the Scrap Therapy DT comp. Now I have to host an online class. My first ever class real and on line. Scary stuff for me. I have got a page all planned and nearly finished for it just need to do up the instructions for it. While I was sorting out a photo to use for the class layout I relised that I have scrapped most of the better pics of Asher I've got so it took me a while to decide on a photo and then my sewing machine decided to play up too. So the layout part of it all hasn't gotten of to a good start. If anyone out there that is still reading my ramble has any tips that they can share about running an on line class I would be very grateful. I also need to do up a how to for a blog post too but I have got the idea for that one just need to put it together. Not too sure just when the class will be but will post all the dteails on here as soon as I know.

-It is school holidays here and Asher is driving me crazy already. Lucky for me I only have the one week off and she can drive the daycarers crazy for the three days I work next week.

-We are hopefully going of to the zoo this week. So I will have some great photo oppurtunities coming my way which I so need as apart form a few recent ones I am pretty much up to date with the photos of Asher that I want to scrap. I didn't think I would ever catch up on Asher's photos seeing as I didn't start scrapping till she was about three but I guess I'm not called the scrap nut for nothing.lol

Sundays share on Monday

So sorry girls I forgot my Sunday share so it is a Monday one, not that I've got a lot too share though.

I have been scrapping but not alot that I can share just now. 4 pages with my CIS dt kit and the oct tech tues chal for Arty pants. I have done a page for the Forever always cc but haven't taken a pic of it just yet so will add it to my next Sunday share.

This is the pic I was planning on taking for the last nightime photo chal set over at CIS. We had to take a pic by candle light.I didn't really think Asher would sit still through the nighttime flash so I got her to set up a photoshoot with her Brats. Not the best of pics but the best of the ones I took.

Well what else has been happening out here

-Had a ball out at the big crop on Sunday. I took five projects to work on and came home with 1 finished page, a finished card, a cj entry that needs some journaling, a book mark that needs a quote and a layout that needs journaling. Quite proud of what I did.

-Asher has a dress up day tomorrow at school so I will have some cute clown pics to share on Sunday.

-Laura won the ongoing rak this time round by guessing how many tags/journaling cards were in Connies little box so I now need to do up anther project. Have got an idea or two up my sleeve just need to pick which one.

-The vote for the dt comp over at Therapy is all set up. The highest five go through to the next round and they will have to put together a class. OMG I had better get my thinking cap on just incase.

- I will soon be the owner of a Jane jones origional tag book. Over at TSE she had a chat chal going and Al and Marcela chatted up a storm over there giving me a few much needed laughs at times. I came in third. There was no way I could catch those too.

It was sports day today and we had some nice weather for it finally after it being canceled twice.

I have a date with my camera, some candles, Asher and her Brat dolls tonight. Why you ask? Well over at CIS Jolene is holding a photography comp were we get a few tips on taking photos and then have to go out and play around with our camera using the tips. This months tips were on taking photo's at night time. Has been a bit tricky for me seeing as I don't have a tripod and using the night setting I had to have to camera resting on something. I managed to get the first two pics taken with no trouble, handy dandy post and plant stand, now have to try and take some pics by candle light so we are going to have a tea party.

Sunday photo and page share

Well it is Sunday and here I am with my usual Sunday share.

We went of to the shops this afternoon to buy some pies for lunch and Asher just had to take her trolley with Lisa and Max and of course I took my camera. lol There is Max in this pic and Lisa(her doll) is sitting in the front of the trolley.

On Friday night it was all happening over at the CIS cyber crop. The bingo went of well and I didn't drop the words like I was dreading I would.

The CISters all got into the chat too and the two chattiest on the night were Liz and Tam. Liz had asked for me not to count her in the chat tally for the rak and page seeing as she is the chit chat co-ordinator at CIS and chatting up a storm so to speak is a part of what she does and she dose it well. So Tam won the rak and the page although I have offered to do a page for Liz too.

There were three chals and a kiddies chal which I set, with some help from Asher.

The first one was to use bright colours in your page, the word happy in the title and doodling. My happy girl is the sample I did.
I have loved doodling lately and now that I've found a fine waterproof marker I've been adding some watercolour pencils to them alot too. The photo is of Asher at her Easter Bonnet parade this year at school.

The second chal was to use lots of flowers, a bird and a spring quote.
I had been meaning to do a page on our lack of garden for a while and decided that it would fit this challenge. The strips of paper to the side of the photo are some of the printed flower words I used in the bingo game.
The journaling on the photo reads-I will sit here and be surounded by flowers instead of weeds and long grass. Soon I hope.
I seeing as I couldn't win the cc chal I decided to tie it in with the Friday night live chal over at Em which was to use two of Sares tips from her tip and teach thread. I chose to use patch worked background tech and the white rub ons on white card with watercolour effect. Loved the rub on effect Sares and I'll be using it again. Thanks. Pity I didn't realise that it had to be in by 5 there time and I was still working on it at 3 here.
and the flower pics are from seed packets that I went out a brought. Hey they may even get me motivated to do something. DH needs lots of it although I was lucky I took the pic yesterday for he mowed the lawn today.lol

So what else has been happening

-I've finished my round 3 page for the Therapy dt comp. I forgot to add it here so will do it next time.

-I have been lucky again this week. I found out at the begining of the week that I have won a page scrapped by a dter over at Bons. Not too sure just who will be scrapping my photo, or Asher's actually, but can't wait to see it and my pirate page from a few posts back that I did for one of the chals over at the Therapy CC last weekend won so I've got a voucher to go and spend on some yummies.

-I've been working on the pack from Jolene fot the GDT spot overat CIS and have done four pages. I may even get another done with what's left over.

-SC 46 is out. I so can't wait for 47 as it will have my first ever published page. Wahoo

I'm back

I thought I'd share a pic of the rak on offer as well as a page scrapped by me for the Friday chat challenge over at CIS as part of the cyber crop this weekend.

I had fun out scrap shopping this morning and couldn't resist the Cosmo Cricket xmas papers so got some for me and some for the rak. There is only three papers in the rak. I've got the six there to show the second side of the papers.

Sundays usual page share and some news.

Well I'll start of with my pages as I've not got any new pics to share this week. My camera hasn't been out much at all to take pics of anything but my pages.

I have uploaded these pages all out of order. Oops sorry.

I joined in on theTherapy cc on Friday night and had a ball. I managed to get three out of the five chals done and love what I did for them.

This page I did for Angels midnight madness challenge. We had to use a night time photo,something black and stars. The photo is of Asher at the christmas lights near a friends place last year. I am loving doodling at the moment and the latest for me is to add a rub on to the doodling and watercolours too now that I've got me a fine dvd marker and it is waterproof.
This is the page I did for the round six Idol challenege over at Em. We had to use a mix of traditonal scrapping and digi scrapping. I downloaded a few brushes andstuff and made my own journaling cards, added the swirl to the bgpaper and used a computer font forthe title. Yeah waterproof too lol.
but alas I didn't get through to the next round so my page is in the justfor fun gallery now. Congrats to those that are still in.

This is a page I did for thesketch chal over at Therapy. I played around with the sketch and ended up pushing it all into the corner of the page so to speak.
and I used up a few more of my favorite stickers as well as some older ones that have been hamging around for a while for my journaling.

I did have plans on just doing a dry run of the page so I could take pics durring the day but got carried away so the pics aren't that crash hot.

And this little pot is a brad pot I made up for Lindaas part of the next round of the how many ongoing rak over at Arty Pants. I had fun making it up and Reenie had fun playing with it this morning while we were in bed. Lucky for me she didn't get the lid of as there would of been a big brad mess all over the place.

I was going to put up the link so you can pop on over and guess how many brads there are in there but Connie, the lucky thing guessed that there were 138 brads in there WITH THE FIRST GUESS. Lucky Connie. She has just missed by a guess or two on the last two on offer and now she gets it right with the first guess.

As to what else has been happening

-Little Missy Anthea left me a nice surprise the other day. A nice matters award. I forgot to upload the little icon but will do so next post and pass it on.

-I'm the guest dter over at CIS this month so pop on over and try out the monthly challenge I have set to scraplift a Cister and to use three papers from three manufactures.

-It is also the CIS cc next weekend so pop on over and check it out. The chals are good and I'm setting up a kiddies chal and Asher scrapped a sample page for it. I'll post a pic of her page up here after the cc.

-The two lucky page swappers for the August Fav Foto Fri challenge at Arty Girls were me and Andrea. Andrea sent me over two sweet pics of her Bailey and Ellie his nanny and poppy's new puppy. I so loved the page I scrapped for Andrea and the page Asher did as the CIS cc sample is of Ellie so Bailey will have a small scrapped page for his room too. I'll post the page up here once Andrea has gotten them.
-I chatted for a while with the girls over at Em for the first Friday night live and managed to do a page for the challenege too.(Andrea's page, with her permission to do so first) I hope to pop in every Friday and check out the challenge and chat as the dt girls over at Em have got some talent and are some of my favorite scappers.

Sunday PPP share

Well it is that time again. Sundays photo, page and project share.

Here are a few pics first.

I sent Asher into her room yesterday lunch time to clean it up and make her bed. When it was time for bed last night this is what I found tucked in under her pillow. I so had to pull out the camera. The red goggles on the bear actually were a part of her super hero costume this morning. A scraf tied around her shoulders, a fancy dress up necklace and one of her Pooh bears in a back to front bib had fun saving the world while jumping on the trampoline. It only lasted a few minutes and by the time I realsied just what she was doing and went to get the camera she had stopped. lol

And this is a pic of my cheeky little **** and the little apology gift for the boy at school who she acussed of taking one of her toys.

These are the cards I made up last night for fathers day. You can't see it well in the photo but the lighter brown paper has been stamped with a pattern made by placing three of my Lil Davis Crillion stamps onto my block in a pattern the stamping onto the brown with my white ink. Thanks for the suggestion at CIS Liz to try and make a mosaic of stamps on your blocks. I think it turned out ok.
As part of the next round of the Em idol comp I am in, if we got through to round five which I did. we had to do a page using no adhesive. Well I had all these ides of things to try on my page and was going to use a few and in the end I only used the one. Machine sewing.
I have had this photo of Asher enoying a spa at my parents house printed for a while and nothing really seemed to be grabbing me with so it is was always put back in the to get round to it later pile. When I opened up my box of bg papers from Nat at therapy I loved the way the three different papers from bg all seemed to go well together.

The base paper is one from the Infuse range, the flowers are from the Jubille one and the birds are from the newer range Pheriphery
I wanted to still do one of my favorite techs of layeringwith demension and seeing as using mounting tape was out of the question I cut up some scraps of thin chipboard and sewed it between my layers of cut out flowers.
Andreas guessed that there were 104 buttons in the tine I made up for Lisa as part of the on going rak over at Arty Pants so this little tin is or will be tomorrow on it's way to her.
and it is full of ? 30 ribbons and trim lengths.

Well what else has been happening out here
-I got a nice phone call the other day from one of my not so local scrappy shops I pop into. We,Jane and I, were up there a few weekends back and brought raffle tickets in the Autisum raffle they had. I won a HP Photosmart printer. I was so wrapped. I've yet to try it out but it is all ready to go so may have aplay around with it later on tonight after all the dinner and bedtime stuff is sorted out. When I told Jane about it she pretty much called me a lucky ***** as I have been a bit lately and to make it worse she brought her ticket before I did, she was thinking of getting two and decided not too and I got the next ticket so if she had of gotten the two it would of been hers.
-I'm feeling better after having this rotten cold nearly all week. The test will be back to work tomorrow with no nanna naps avalilable if I get tired, which I have been doing.
-I got my page in for the 2nd round of the Therapy dt comp now to see if I make it through to the next round. There are some great pages there and over at Em too in each comp so it is getting harder to stay in each round. The main thing for me is that the pages I've done for each round in both comps I love and that is what counts for me first and foremost.

Page share

Yeap my usual Sunday page share is early again this week. I've been of work the past two days with a yukky cold and sore throat. I'm feeling heaps better now and I managed to do some scrapping in between catnaps while I was of.

Over at Scrap Therapy Nat was running a dt serach for four new memebrs. She chose three from the applications that she got (and the dt is looking mighty fine I must say) and for the last spot she is running a competition on the forum for the other non suscessful applicants and the non competing forum mebers are voting on each round with the highest pollers going through to the next round.

I got through to the 2nd round and for that challenge we had to do a 123 style page. Forum memebrs posted elements that we had to use on our pages. The elements where, 3 photos, embossing and buttons. I had an idea for the page right from the start but it just wasn't coming together as I had planned. I lost track of how many times I pulled the half finished page apart and started again.

For the embossing side of the challenge I pulled out my heat gun from my stamping/card making days, stamped up the FUN part of my title in paint and then sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and heat set it.
For the embossing on the paper strips I laid the paper over my scalloped ruler and rubbed my embossing tool over the back of it then sanded the front lightly.
I alos got around to have a play around with some more paint and the August sketch challenge over at TSE. I had so much fun doing this page.

For the title I swiped the page with some paint and then stamped the creative imaginations carefree and antics stamps straight into the wet paint. I didn't get the real defined image I was after so outlined them in the white and black gel pens when dry.
I also played around with layering the same white and black rub ons. You can't really see the effect though as the bulk of the white rub on is on the pale pink Fancy pants paper.

This page is my attempt at Jacking Jill for this months Aussie Scrapjack blog.

I have had this pic in my to scrap pile for a while and and so knew just what the title was going to be too just had to scrap it and the My little shoe box papers went with the photo perfectly.

I have a pull out Doodlebug stamped journaling tag tucked behind the photo mat that tells the story of how whenever we went into Fremantle to see Bec at Scrapindipity we always had to pop into the Fairy shop and to Culleys for lunch. Asher got to pick whatever she wanted to eat for lunch and nearly always it would be a Jam sandwhich and a strawberry milkshake. This is a memory I wanted to scrap as I can remember going to the same coffee shop with my Nanna when I was Asher's age.

What else has been happening out here

-My little cheeky rat got into trouble at school yesterday. She had a small dinosaur at school, put it in her desk then went on to tell the teacher that another boy in the class had taken it. The boy in question is autisic and got a little bit upset about having to turn out his pockets so to speak. So today Asher had to go and say sorry to the boy and to her teacher too. While in the shower this morning she came in to me and asked if she could take Layth a pressent and make hime a card. So she raided her dinosaur box, wrote I'm sorry on the tag and drew a picture of a dinosaur on the card. And yes this crazy scapnut took pics of the dinosaur and card with my little rat and have plans on scrapping them for her school album.

-I've been sick with a cold and sore throat. Only now just feeling better this afternoon. I went to the doctors and was told I had a slight infection, not enough to be given any antibiotics but enough for two days of work. I wasn't going to say no to that. lol

-I'm waiting to hear if I get through to the next round of idol. Friday is a long way away. lol The next challenge has been posted though and it isure is a challenge and a half. To do a page using NO ADHESIVE. I have a few ideas in mind and will start working on it tomorrow night after all the usual Thursday shopping and housework is out of the way.

Well I shared 2 of my P' s already and here is the 3rd one a Project. It is Mum's b'day durring the week and we are getting together tomorrow for lunch. She is an avid painter so I headed of to the art surply place near work to pick up something to alter for her. It is a box to store all her paints and brushes in. I had heaps of fun putting it togther and at the last minute before starting it I decided to take step by step pics and made them up into a project post over at Arty Pants. Well what else has been happening out here,

-I posted out Karen's little rak for guesing what my fav product of the mo is. She has some of the MM little letters and some other goodies on the way to her.

-I took pics and wrapped up the last of the puzzle pieces for the swap with my hunnies over at SB.com. When I alter my pics and the puzzle frame I'll post the finished puzzle. They will be going out in the next week or so as the postie has had some money enough from me today.

-It has been a while since I popped in to both Forever always and Scrap divas but I did on Friday night and chatted away in thier cyber crops. I've not done anything for either of them yet as getting Mum's box done was at the top of my to do list last night and now when that is out of the way I'm feeling rotten with a sore throat and with a date later on tonight with a friend and their new blue healer puppy and lunch tomorrow I'm not liking my chances of getting any done soon. Lucky for me the FA cut of is the end of the month so I may be able to pull some together for them.

Finally

I got around to finishing and taking a photo of my 123 challenge page which I had finished all bar three A's while on retreat last weekend.

The photo is Asher up and the life of her first new years eve party in Jan 04. We went up to a friends place for a bbq and she slept on the way up there and stayed asleep on Amanda's bed till 7ish, about an hour and a half or so I think then was up to see the new year in.

I got the felt flowers in a rak with a whole bundle of chipboard from one of the many blogs I pop into. It was the Magistical Memoreis blog I think.
I borrowed an ink from a friend to ink the letters and ran out of the A's, Jordie did pop up to the shop on the Saturday, seeing as it was only half and hour away and got me some more but I forgot to ink the letters while I could and had to buy my own.
And I had two people put in some guesses from my previous post about what my favorite scrappy product of the moment is.

now I've got to go through my stash of goodies to fill another little container for whoever guesses this one.

I finished of my page for the Septemebr Tech Tuseday and love how it has all come together. I will pop up a sneek peek later on in the month both here and over at Arty Pants and more guessing fun can be had where you can try and guess what the tech will be from the sneek peek.

Well we did end up getting into the garden for a bit today in between going up to Mum's to help Dad out with a computer problem which took all of two minutes or so to fix. Oh well we got lunch out of it.

I also have sorted out some of my pages into the albums I brought early on this year. I now have the family album, pages on Asher and the two of us since we have been toghether all up to date to her 4th b'day. lol I still have pizza boxes galore though. One for each year,two in some cases, one for my wedding, one for my BOM, one for school, friends and swimming pages, one for Rennie pages, one for pages about scrapping lol i've done a few pages about that for chals so I've now got a scrapping journey album and Asher even has one too. 12 all up.

The albums I have for the family one, I will probally get different albums for the rest, are print block ring bound ones. Now in these three albums I've got 20 inserts holding 40 pages. Now on a rough calculation this year I have scrapped 150 pages so far and they will go into 3 and a half albums. Oh my goodness just where are all these albums going to go. I'm going to need a new house with a scraproom and an album room just to hold the albums.lol

Em idol

Well the challenge for round three was put up before the votes were in from round two so I ended up doing my page for it Thursday night before knowing if I was through or not. When I found out on Friday that I had made it through I was so excited that I went out and took pics straight away. lol Next time I'll remember not to take pics when excited and all shaky as some of them were shockers.

So to the challenge. We had to use tags on our page, using how many and whatever style of tags we liked as long as they were not hidden. I've got a collection of all sorts of tags , some that I thought I'd never use but kept anyway.

I had heaps of fun going though my tag stash and ended up using several. A 7 gypsies journaling one, a hand full of the smaller jewelery type ones and one of two I claimed of a couple of shirts I brought last xmas for my nephews. The tilte mat is a fabric tag that I embellished to cover up the words on it. I've got another one here and if I had the right photo I would of used it as is as it had sticks and stones printed on it. Next time lol.
I also had a bit of a play around with some rub ons. Using several to make bigger sprays and adding more flowers and a little doodling too
I once againg used my favorite scrappy product of the moment on this page. I won't say what it is as I'm going to put together a little bundle of goodies to whoever can guess. As I've been using alot on most of my recent pages it shouldn't be too hard to guess right. lol

Well what else has been happening

-My girl friend and I signed up for the scrap it day out here in Perth at the end of September. Looks as though it will be alot of fun. Although my girl friend got her registration package the other day and wasn't happy. It was $100 to register for the day, something that we didn't mind paying as all procedes are going towards Alsimas(spelling is so of sorry). Well unknown to us on reading the info she got there is also a $25 compulsary sponsorship thingy. We both agree that we don't mind paying for the reg fee(seeing as it is for fund raising) but to be told, after we had paid it that there was an additional cost which is compuslary we didn't think was fair at all. Nothing was mentioned in any of the leaflets about it that we could see. Jane is so not happy and I am almost positive she will be having something to say about it.

-It looks as though the first little prize of my how many on going rak over at Arty Pants will be going of very soon. With the latest guesses coming in at higher than 15 but lower and 17 it won't take long. lol I'll be decorating and filling up another little bag like in the past post with more flowers and then the guessing will begin again. Retreat fun

I has so much fun away this weekned ay my retreat. I didn't acutally get as much done as I had hoped too though but here is a bit of it.

This is the page I did for the Em idol round 2 challenge. lol I did this page not even knowing that I had made it through as I had so much to sort out before going I didn't check anything here on the computer after 10.00 on Friday morning and the results hadn't been posted then.

I got through.Yeah.

The challenge this round was to use paint swatches on our page and use those colours in the swatches on the layout. I chose to use pink and brown. Had my photos picked out and papers too and headed of to Bunnings with them in tow to pick up a handful of swatches.

I also had Jane, my retreating buddy on strict instructions. She was not to let me cut them up or to use more than two on the page as that was a part of the requirements.

I've always loved these picks of Asher taken last year in Fremantle enjoying a swing and the colours so matched the basic grey papers.
My friend Jane just kept on laughing at me. I said to her that I just wanted to try and keep it clustered in the corner and every time she looked up it was growing and growing out.
When it came to doing the title I was stumped for a while. As I sort of had the idea to use the ghost letters for it and threw them into my stash to go away with not even thinking to check I had all the letters. When I got there you guessed it. No N and the small shop stash didn't have any there. Argh. So I got a U turned it upside down and debated about using it for nearly half hour. After painting the reverse side of them I liked the look of the painted side better and seeing as all the letters look ok wrong side up that is the way I went.lol

I also threw into my take with me stash the latest kit from CIS. I so totally loved the papers in the kit and this is what I came up with after alot of deliberation. At our table of four we had a real nice lady who loved to talk and it got to the point this morning while I was doing this page and Jane was trying to stamp a title on her first ever scrapping page (long story lol) both of us felt like telling her to be quite so we could concentrate on what we were doing. I ended up adding to the papers a piece of my MME paper with the dragonfly too as I wanted to have a layered effect with the leaf spray up the side.
After all the muff ups on this page and it taking me so long I love how it has turned out.

And this little card and bag is a thank you gift from me to the other lady sitting at our table. Where we stayed they only had the thinest of blankets on the bed, with no extras at all. She lived just down the road and was going home to pick up her doona and asked us if we would like to borrow a couple of sleeping bags. Like we said no.lol So I made up a card for her and used the sizzix bag die to make up the bag and filled it with assorted small bazzil sized flowers.

I've got an extra bag cut outso have set up a bit of a guessing game happening over at Arty Pants to guess how many flowers are in the bag. Who ever can guess it will get a little bag made up for them with flowers in it too.

My little guessing game has given me an idea for a fun little game over at Arty Pants so if you want to join in, join up.lol

What I am going to do is make up the bag and fill it with some more flowers for whoever guesses right (not the same size ones guys so you will have to guess again lol) and then take a pic of that bag and start it all over again. Each little bag, box or whatever I decide to pop the items into will have different things in it. Some may have brads, the next eyelets, buttons or even chipboard pieces whatever tickles my fancy at the time. All in a little personalised contanier. I thought it would be alot of fun and in a way it is helping me to rak out some of my stash of which I am getting way too much.

What else has been happening

-I manged to scrap 3 12 by 12's while away, one not finished yet as I ran out of A's in my favorite letter, 1 cj double page, 5 puzzle pieces and the card and bag

-packed way too much scrappy stuff for my weekend away but I would rather have too much and not what I wanted to play with lol

-I took somepics of my scrapped jeans for the woodstock dinner on Saturday night. Haven't had a good look at them yet but will post some here if they are any good

-same with my nightime pics for the photo challenge over at CIS. I took some pics of the crop room all lit up at night using the roof of my car and a post to keep the camera stable.

my holidays are over back to work for me tomorrow
